""I have to sit down with Alex McLeish because if it means that I go away on international duty and not play for Birmingham when I come back there is no chance of coming back," he explained. "He is a guy I respect and he has given me time to go away and consider all my options."

Great attitude to playing for Blues, and nice to see the obvious respect for the manager.

I'm getting seriously worried about the male supporters around these parts; first Number8 wants to have Kevin Phillips' babies and now you're in love with Barry Ferguson. :?

That was funny.

He was quite wrong though in fact, because Henry is something. He is now the world record holder for the most number of fouls and warnings from the referee that it is possible to get away with before being booked.

He trod on Ferguson didn't he?

I think that was why Fergy went barmy, because Henry tripped him for the umpteenth time and than slyly stood on him.

Is that what he said? I've only seen the goals on tv. It was funny how angry he got.

Karl Henry is rubbish. I honestly don't know how he can get in a Premier League side, let alone captain one.

I couldn't understand at the time why Ferguson was raging so much at what was a fairly innocuous - though cynical trip...although it was about Henry's 10th foul.

But when I saw it on Skyplus later it looked as though Henry stepped over him and raked his studs down his chest while he was on the ground.

Snide.

And yes, Henry is utter shite.

yep, just kept repeating it over and over whilst trying to get in his face. Carr was attempting to calm him down but with a wry smile at the same time.

Good man. I suggested perhaps Ferguson had suggested that Henry enjoy next season in the Championship. Which is still probably about 2 divisions above his ability

You may be ok, second place is realistic isnt it?

The Czechs struggled a bit recently. And the other two shouldn be difficult?

I should think so. Scrape a draw away at the Czech's and try and do them at Hampden, and try and nick a draw off the Spanish at home (can't see that one though). Can't see past Spain for top spot to be honest. Draw wasn't kind but then it's never going to be if you're seeded alongside teams like fecking Bulgaria.

Oh well, this season has been a new experience for me, because supporting teams that let you down and kick you in the nuts became the norm.
