That's ok, get Birdy to do the report.
It doesn't matter if you're rich or poor. Just as long as you've got money.
£20 was a 'bit steep' for a fair few thousand yesterday, as well.

The fact it was on TV is the biggest reason for the lower crowd, and a Sunday lunchtime doesn't help. This effects every club, not just ours.

give us ya hearts ticket then ron and i will go instead
£20 though, for a local derby, lost once in seventeen games, and eighth in the Premiership. The stayaway fans don't deserve a 'big signing'.

They made the right choice though. It was a crap game.
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought.
The last 10 minutes was well worth £20 of your money if you're a Blues fan.

They certainly did. I want compensation.

Blimey - what was that feeling worth, that last ten minutes? £200 would have been a bargain, never mind £20. In fact, priceless.

Indeed, if Carlsberg did 'last 10 minutes of football matches' that would have been it yesterday.

I don't think we have "stayaway" fans. We have fans who can't afford even £20, especially if its on TV, fans who fell out of the habit and can't get back into it, fans who have other prioritys at different times. Everyone has reasons, some better than others but reasons all the same. That and maybe the fact that we're not quite the sleeping giant we always thought we were.

If Mrs Kwacky gets her arse into gear and decides what she's doing job wise I might be getting a ST for next season.

I totally understand if fans can't afford to go (and I mean that 100%). I think your point about not being the sleeping giant that we'd like to think we are is valid, too. Perhaps it's a legacy from the apathy from the DS/DG era, perhaps a lot of ST holders just lost interest and can't be bothered, but it's disappointing for the fans that are there - and, more important, a shame for the manager, team and board who have performed remarkably well.
If it's easier to watch it in the pub fair enough, but if those fans feel that it's a better experience watching it in the pub, rather than being there in person, I'd certainly question their 'fan' status.

Think the problem we have at the moment is we've only got 12k season ticket holders, down from about 24k (plus a few on a waiting list!)
With so few tickets presold it's always going to be an issue to get a full house, no matter what the price. People need to get back into the habit of going regularly. Think the current board will offer some great deals next month, and we'll be back up to the 22/24k season tickets next year.
Good point.

I think there may be a bit of a legacy issue but I reckon by seasons end that will disappear. I also agree its a shame for the team. As regards the pub thing, I'd totally agree nothing beats actually being at the match.
I think we're suffering no worse than most other teams though. If the game itself could get a grip of its finances (which it maye have to do at some point) it may be that any missing fans will start coming back.

I do hope so. We've got a team and a manager that deserve it.
