Feel Good Family Films

The Mrs insists on us watching some maudlin shit all together, as a family, every bastard Christmas. Last year it was the bloody Back To The Future trilogy; to make matters worse, the nippers collude. We don't see the little bastards all year, then they want to spend endless hours in my living room watching shit on my telly, drinking my beer.

I have chose and bought this years feel good movie…..American Graffiti………. my top 3 family feel ggod movies are as fecking thus, bearing mind the bastards have to be watched several times over a couple of days:

1 Jaws

2 Stand By me

3 The Ice Harvest

All suggestions welcome

The Indiana Jones films are always good family fare.
Elf, National Lampoons Christmas vacation, Muppets Christmas Carol and scrooged (plus a couple of traditional A Christmas Carol versions) will have to be watched in our house in the run up to Christmas.
Milk, Milk, lemonade, round the corner chocolate's made.

Or for those of you who like 'epics', Spartcus and Ben Hur, at least one of those films gets an airing every Xmas. Or for the Disney buffs, The Jungle Book and The Aristocats

In circumstances like this the solution is to put on something foreign with no subtitles, no action and no real plot. After eight boring minutes they will feck off back to their bedrooms where they belong to play some unsuitable video games and you can switch over to something more interesting.
