Six new signings made their Blues debuts at Norwich City. And Harry Redknapp is certain that once they have bedded down into this new-look Blues, things will only get better.Never before have Blues handed out half-a-dozen debuts in-season.

In the game following our £20 million spend up, we field David Davis, an Everton reserve and a plauer released by a team in League 1 in midfield.

That's nonsensical. What the feck is Redknapp doing.

Unfortunately we don't have much of a midfield at all. Ndoye should be great but is struggling, and Gardner is no better. What exactly would you have done differently?

Boo'd them off at half time?
Thanks for keeping us up, Harry.

If I was at the game I would have booed the players.

I would have played Ndoye and Gardner alongside Davis.

Our best midfield 3.

Good points raised by Harry in which I am sure he will sort out on the training ground.

Perhaps not but he saw areas for improvement which should be easy to rectify.

We are still learning how to utilise the skills of Jota into something that benefits us all.

Have patience. We've started to get some good footballers in. A bit of time and a bit of luck and you will start to see some good football.

I'll try to be patient but the more I try the more I feel we wasted the close season badly. With the resources at our disposal we should have been set up better and now we are in the lead sing rut again with no sign of us getting out of it,

You sound like Steve Bruce.
Luckily, the amount of heroin I use is harmless. I inject about once a month on a purely recreational basis. Fine. But what about other people less stable, less educated, less middle-class than me? Builders or blacks for example. If you're one of those, my advice to you is leave well alone. Good luck.

I know you're normally a bit of tit so a few losses are bound to worry you.

You are aware the way the transfer works results in clubs having to sign players after the window has started yeah?

:D

Captain's point about the central midfield is obviously exaggerated and daft, but there's a modicum of truth in there.

It's one area we failed to properly improve.

The rest will be absolutely fine, I also think Walsh will be decent if we play him deeper.
Only at Blues.

The away crowd are different to the home Mr C. There are usually a minority quick to boo so Capn would find like minded souls at a home game. Try it at an away and he wouldn't do it twice.

It's not like he didn't *try* to address it, though. He did, four times, and it didn't materialise. So I think he knows that it's an area to focus on. I don't think there's much debate he'll try again in January when Walsh's deal is up, unless he fills the gap himself, so let's have some faith that he's working on making the most of what we currently have.

Wow! Missed that. Was in the bar early at half time and left for the pub before the end.

Mr C disregard my reply, there are booers now at away games too. Great, ain't it.

I gotta say I thought they looked pretty good on Saturday. Obviously the attackers haven't got themselves organised yet and don't know how each other play, what runs to make etc. but there was way more pace and verve about the forward play than we've seen for donkeys years in a Blues team. Felt sorry for Gallagher - didn't even have scraps to feed off, but hopefully it'll all start to gel over the next few weeks as they learn each others' games. In defence, Colin and Dean look class. Lowe looks like a bit of a steal - a proper leader.

All in all, encouraging. We'll lose at Leeds, but it's only the start of a long, long, road.

We've been relatively dogshit for about 6 years and some fans aren't willing to wait a few months to see this new team of actual footballers become a cohesive unit.

It hurts my brain.

We are 6 points off the top 6, we have 40 games to go and we have ambitious owners who I'm sure will be ready to improve us again in 16 weeks time, and we actually have good players for the first time in years.

Let's be positive, see what happens, and enjoy having a bit of hope for a change.

The carrot of success has been dangled all summer, and when people get a taste for that, they want it NOW. Patience evaporates.

If we are showing no signs of life by November 1st, it'll be time to worry. Hopefully though there'll be marked improvement every game from now on. It will not happen overnight.
