And saved us by sacking him and convincing Redknapp to come in...

He made his mistake, and (albeit later than some wanted) put it right, and how!

As I told you 3 weeks ago, Panos had nothing to do with Redknapp, as just confirmed by Rob Dorsett at Sky

So apart from the bit about him sacking Zola and convincing Redknapp to come, you were spot on thumbs up

And if Zola was sacked, then the club have blatantly lied to us and it'd confirm that there is no reason to trust a single word TTA say.

So you mean what EVERYONE else in football calls leaving by mutual consent?

Only the ones that agree to call it mutual consent.

When a manager leaves he leaves after negotiating with the club, how they decide to phrase the manager leaving is an agreement between all parties.

All us proles see is the official statement.

Zola may have been sacked, he may have resigned, they may have agreed to part ways mutually, the statement they agreed on was resignation and that's all we see.

Assuming this is true, just who exactly did Redknapp meet in London on that Sunday evening before taking the job? He said he still hadn't met the owners after the Bristol City game so not sure who he was dining with if Panos wasn't there?

Panos isn't the only director of BCFC.

Panos isn't the only director of BCFC.

So the question is: will the other directors bring someone new in or promote one of themselves to the top job?

I shall echo what a local resident said to me in Yorkshire's last pit village when I told him Thatcher had died..

"I shall be cracking open a bottle of wine tonight..."

Club wants to sack manager.

Manager says he would rather go on record as resigning to protect rep.

Manager sacrifices some of his pay-off to have his wish granted by the club.

Announced as resignation.

Alternatively, a club might not want to be seen as sacking the manager if it shows them up as fecking up in the first place, so pay the manager extra to agree to a statement that states resignation.

Not suggesting this happened with Zola, I don't think it did, but it does happen.

Thanks for giving this club a bit of stability Panos and helping to get through the sale, but your position was untenable after the Zola debacle.

I just don't know what Gary Poulton and PJ from Big Brother are going to do with their weekends now.

Has nobody considered their feelings in all of this?

The ironic thing being PJ, Gary Poulton et al have not been hanging around Panos for quite some time... having taken the other side in the Tim Andrews / Panos split.

Jeez, if you're going to criticise people for lizards at least get the right ones.

Over the moon this idiot has gone. Some of the embarrassing stories I've heard about him which I won't post are cringeworthy. I assume he's responsible for Zola, I assume he would have kept him rather than sack him even if that meant relegation and obviously he thought he didn't have to talk to the fans when we were in freefall.

The club should ask Mike Wiseman to do the job. Someone with Blues class, breeding and history. What I'd also like is this Suen fellow to break ranks, let us see him, hear him, stop all this mystery bullshit. I find it totally insulting that this chap can buy into our culture then completely ignore us.
