Wor Lee will be waiting for the call from Newcastle, probably now

Why is it in most industries, now, that someone gets a post because of the fact that they've worked there before, or, they know the board of directors well, or, they're a really nice person, etc. however incompetent they are !?

"Technical director" ? Zola ? can't see it myself !!

Indeed. Top jobs in most/all walks of life are rarely appointed on merit, in my experience. It's always been like that, and probably always will be. Zola is revered at Chelski like no other former player, even Drogba; they idolise him almost like he is still playing. A ludicrous appointment, but I'm not that surprised.

Looks like Chelsea are bored of winning trophies and fancy a 'change of direction.' Franco's just the man for the job.

Yeah, apparently they both hang out with Paul Weller.

To be fair to Franc, he was trying to play football with players that can't actually play football.

Oh yeah not saying he should have stayed on at all. But I think his experience would be more useful in a team of talented football players.

Though I don't know what his role would entail as technical director.
