It's just a way of angry middle aged bigots collating all the things they hate - Jewish people, Muslims, women, homosexuals and socialists - into one handy conspiracy that is trying to undermine their way of life

Bingo! The "bigot" word! This is just how they work. Having an opinion is forbidden unless it complies. Well done!

Quite. They are not special needs. Even special needs people don't, or at least didn't want to be treated differently.

The club should have better things to concentrate on, than these sort of non-issues.

Saying that your opinion is bigoted and moronic isn't the same as forbidding you from having an opinion, is it

Say what you want, just don't be so sensitive if people say it's nonsense

Fine, I think the proponents of this trendy lefty nonsense are bigoted, moronic and intolerant. Works both ways, even if people are now being prevented from expressing such views by the PC bandwagon.

How are you prevented from expressing such views? Have you not done so on this very thread?

If you are allowed to challenge such events then surely it's okay for the your views to also be challenged? Or is that challenge of your views what you are objecting to?

It's the way society is being conditioned. Sure I can say I hate this leftist agenda on a forum like this. But imagine if BCFC turned round and told them to stick their rainbow flags as they'd prefer to concentrate on football? They'd be slaughtered for it. Just like Tim Farron was endlessly grilled and demonised by the media simply for having a traditional faith-based view of sex and marriage. The media is carrying this agenda and people/organisations that publicly fail to comply are hung out to dry. Yes they can have an opinion, but expressing it is now professional suicide.

I'm struggling to see what's so bad about campaigning for better treatment of LGBT people, please enlighten me. What is there to "question?"

I'm questioning why rainbow corner flags or bootlaces at football grounds have anything to do with this issue, however big an issue it is perceived to be. Lobby your MP, write to the papers but leave it out of football. It should not (IMHO) be equated with the fight against racism, which some are trying to do.

I don't know, maybe because homophobia is still a massive issue in football, 8% of fans would stop supporting their team if it had a gay player, homophobic chanting is still heard in grounds around the country, and we have no openly gay football players?

I commend the clubs for actually trying to raise awareness, it's desperately needed in football. And I'm not sure why racism is being brought into it, that is a different issue which should also be tackled full on. Football clubs have a duty to welcome all into their ground without a fear of discrimination.

Getting het up about a rainbow corner flag is missing the point.
