It is though, if they win all their games they will definitely stay up.

Not mathematically correct...

Max Points..

Barnsley... 55

Birmingham ... 57

Bolton... 60 - so say Barnsley do beat them = new max of 57

Barnsley therefore NEED Bolton to lose another or for someone else to drop points -even if they win all their 7 remaining games.

It will be true after tonight's game if Blues win.

If Barnsley win every game then they stay up, because Bolton and Blues play one another.

Your maximum points stuff is not accurate, because Blues and Bolton can’t both get maximum points..

It’s therefore in their own hands.

And ours...for now.
zxcv said on P&S punishment...

"I am not going into detail but just to say i can see why your confusing things, NONE of that is applicable and not what you think it is.

All i will say just wait and you will see i am right. The embargo will be lifted in January and we will buy two 6 million pound forwards."

And Ribeye reckoned the Barnsley fans were thick!
Proudly boring Oldham since 2006 and ZLAMMER since 2013

very optimistic and necessary 15pts for 45 points, more likely 8 points for 38 points

HULL (H) W (probable D)
IPSWICH (H) W (probable D)
BOLTON (A) D (probable L)

BURTON (H) W (probable W)
BRISTOL C (A) L (probable L)
WOLVES (A) L (probable L)
SHEFF U (H) W (probable W)
QPR (A) D (probable L)
FULHAM (H) D (probable L)

Mission accomplished in the first 2 games, 9 more points needed

Head of schedule after 3, already passed the "pessimistic" probable total. Still think 45 is the safety mark. Win against Burton then one more win should do it

I knew that... that is why I said that IF we beat Bolton then it IS in Barnsley's hands... NOW if they win all their remaining games giving them 55 then they leap frog Bolton whose new maximum is now 57 except that if Barnsley beat them it is 54.

All academic anyway as no one is going to win every game to the end of the season.

OR... maybe I am no mathematician (highly likely) :D

still on target after 7 games just swap the Burton and Bolton results, 45 points still the mark.

Shocking miss. It's the luck we've missed from the Bristol and Burton game.
