. Without consulting " the book " I'd suggest Phil Summerill was only just coming up from the reserves when Bridges and Pickering were about. .... off to look at the book now. Right , 66/7 Bridges started wearing 9 , then 7 , then 11 and ended the season at 7 ...67/8 , started wearing 7 played in that shirt for most of the season but ended wearing 11 . Played the first couple of games of 68/9 at 11 and was off ...Phil , Phil , Phil , Phil Summerill replaced Bridges and wore 11 for the remainder of that season . As I thought , he didn't play with Barry but played almost the entire season withFred .Whenhe came into the team Trevor Hockey had claimed 7 and we'd signed Greenhoff whoplayedwiththe 8 shirt on his back .and
Southside Blue , not only keeping the blues alive but also singlehandedly saving the British Manufacturing Industry .

Lots of good memories of Seb. Nothing bad to say about him. In the latter part of his spell with us, his free kicks were eagerly anticipated. My daughter named her hamster ‘Sebastian’ in honour of him. I preferred Trevor, but c’est la vie.

JG often wore 7 after BB left - can picture the no. on his shirt from the Paddock. Jonhnnie V (R.i.P.) wore 8 a lot... Hey,ho!
