Talk of Chelsea signing Grealish for £30million and then loaning him back for the season.

Surely not? Terrible negotiating on Chelsea’s part if they go for this with the state villa are in

It’s not even as if he’s a young kid, he’s a year older than Dele Alli who was played 150 times for Spurs and has 25 England caps.

Loftus Cheek who is back at there next year is also older than him

15m upfront.
And next season Villa have to pay Grealish's new £100k per week wages

Feckin hell...that photo of vilers fans...is the Telegraph photographer a Blues fan? :D

As for greasy and Chelsea... where's this 30 mill come from? They'd have to be nuts, plus at a time when the owner might be considering his future at Chelsea, I really can't see him sanctioning a massive fee for a one trick Championship show pony like socks boy. Probably more paper chat, or more likely bullshit spread by vile to get a bidding war on.
Thanks for keeping us up, Harry.

Another rag of a paper, Staffs version of the BM. Utter mess of an article, full of 'we understand's' and Comical Ali type propaganda on Viles behalf.

The club is believed to be willing to fight for it's star man, Grealish'
Of course, cos they are really going to come out and say you can have him for half a curly wurly and an old copy of Razzle, aren't they? :D

That's OK. When they think they'll be ok and go up because he's still there next season, they will forget that he's playing with a load of dross like Olly Lee and Carlos Kickaball.

They'll be booing him come December because "he dunt luv da villa no more, Franksy "

One of the papers today reporting spurs are offering a take it or leave it 15m offer, that's more likely than Chelsea bidding 30m

More believable. If they are forced to take it, I'd love to see Fake Tony appease the vilers with bullshit over that one. Many of the feckers still believe he's a 40 million quid player.

Wait, what? So they've got a stronger budget than first thought but Xia is expected to have the cash to see villa through the "next few weeks". Not months, not years, but weeks. Also, they have a reduced budget from last year - didn't they spend close to flip all last year? So they can just about bring in a bunch of loans? You know what, there's too much waffle out there now. I'm just going to wait and see what transpires.

Chelsea bought Giroud, an arsenal cast off, last season because they're no longer prepared to spend big money. No chance is abramovich spending £30m on grealish, and if somehow that did transpire, they certainly wouldn't loan him back

Chelsea fan at work (proper one, not a plastic) reckons the only reason Chelsea would do this is if they thought they could sell him on for upwards of £40m?

Chelsea have a history of this. Quite canny at times in the transfer market.

I wouldn't have thought he would fit into the Chelsea model though, he's a bit old.

Usually they have younger player - send them out several times on paid loans, and then release / sell them.

Maybe Hazard is leaving and they need someone to fill the "falling over any time anybody looks at them role"

The image rights on his name would make him a fortune alone.

Interesting SB was saying he wanted to keep Hutton and the club had already told the League it seems he was being released B)

How will they increase his value to upwards of £40m?

Of all the teams in the Premier League, they are notoriously bad for not utilising young players.

They paid £15mil for Ross Barkley. There isn't a chance that they're gonna pay over double that amount for that greasy tw*t.

I saw figures like 30-40mil banded about before his links to Chelsea. Dim Sherwood even said when he was there, that they "wouldn't sell him for £60million". I must be missing something, as I fail to see where these inflated figures come from. The kid is comfortable with the ball but his end product isn't great.

James Maddison is younger (21) and racked up 14 goals and 8 assists last season, in an average Norwich team. A few months ago, he had created more chances than any player in the 'Top 5 European leagues'. Some of the figures banded around for him are less than £15mil.

The hype from Sky Sports whenever the little Villa weasel plays, has got a lot to answer for.

I just don’t buy it. Chelsea do have a financial system buying young players and selling for profit, but you’re talking an £8m purchase to sell at £10-12m, perhaps £20m if he does well. £30m is far too great a risk. If he turns into a mediocre prem player (he currently isn’t even at that level), then they couldn’t hope to recoup that £30m. Indeed, the only way they turn a profit on £30m is if he goes straight into the first team and becomes top class, which discounts any nonsense of him spending a year on loan at championship villa (by which time he’d return at 23). As someone else said, they only spent £15m on Barkley, a premium league player with England caps.

This is villa putting out sh!te to diminish the hit they’ll take on him. Last week he was going for £40m and already it’s dropped by 10 and still no one has actually made an offer. He’ll go for £15m tops, maybe with some add ons - especially when you consider they’ll want the money up front.

And to say his end product isn't great is a masterful understatement. It's absolutely crap.

If he starts to produce end product to go with the talent, he will be worth money. Alternatively he could land himself a contract where he gets paid by the dive and become a trillionaire.
