Beesman didn't seem overly concerned last week at the possibility of losing Smith.
Everyone's missing that Smith is only the coach. There's a director of football there - Jesus Pitarch - who is a Mendes bumchum.
Don't even think Jesus could get them promoted with that defence
They'll be as good as Wesley R. Edens wants them to be.
3 mid table finishes with Brentford, another one this season will see him sacked 😂 Guessing he'll get a special St Andrews welcome next year after his shithouse tactics last week.
Biggest club he’s ever managed : job’s too big for him
Bruce. Jobs too big for him, we need someone better.
Shall we go for the ex Walsall manager
Yeah, he’ll do, fire up the bus
I think it’s a good appointment tbh, was hoping for a celebrity manager.
Without Terry I might agree with you
It’ll be interesting to see how they work together
Also with our brethren being notably arrogant & fickle he’ll need to get them to around the playoffs by Christmas before they turn sour on him
Yeah, my hope is without his assistant he’s not the same
There's three reasons Smith has taken that job - money, money and money. He knows he only has to work to the end of the season before getting the sack and going on to another job.
Le ModI agree with this. He was the one I didn’t want them to go for. Also a bit worried now about the potential future whereabouts of our best 3 (ex- Brentford) players......!I think it’s a good appointment tbh, was hoping for a celebrity manager.

6 weeks before the first "The job's too big for him" is uttered.
Hopefully Terry will be fishing for the job from minute one, he has no loyalty to Smith whatsoever.
Also hope that he is rather dependent on Kelly as his assistant, who’s not going with him.
No say on transfers and forced to work with Terry, no wonder they were rejected 4 times.
I feel like Terry will feel superior to Smith from second one. Its not like Smith has vast amounts of experience and success behind him.
I didn't want them to get Smith but at the same time can see it just easily going badly.
Pretty much agree with the last two posts. Smith was great at Walsall where he gave a bunch of no-hopers belief in themselves, and built a winning team. At Brentford he worked with people who specialised in finding players who had ability but for some reason never made it - and again he gave them the belief to become good footballers...as can be seen by 3 key players in our team right now ! He also worked with O Kelly - who isn't following him to B6.
The one thing players and owners at Villa don't lack is self belief, and with Terry there the one thing they won't be getting is careful man management.
Give it a few months and Terry will kick Smith out like the cuckoo he is.
Still, don't really care about the doings over there - just hate to see a good man wasting himself in the wrong job at the wrong club.
North Yorks Bluejust hate to see a good man wasting himself in the wrong job at the wrong club.
Good man????
Wash your mouth out. He's a filthy dvb, match made in heaven. A good man wouldn't have resorted to them abysmal tactics against us last month.

I don’t understand that last bit.
Our 3 ex Brentford players have escaped Smith once. If they thought he was all that, surely they’d have stayed with him the first time round ?
I suspect better wages and being told they were leaving were bigger factors than escaping Smith.
At Brentford there was no pressure on Smith, expectations were low.
He's going to find it very different at the Vile, they want success immediately.
