Saw my first set of Christmas lights up on a house today, and before anyone says it Diwali they definitely not Diwali lights. By my reckoning that's at least three weeks too early.

Some of em just leave em there all year, switched off obviously. Have to say they're not for me but if people want to test the national grid so be it. Won't be long before they start offending people and get banned anyway.

The overly lit up house phase has definitely faded compared to 15 years ago. Didnt seem that many interested last year.

I had to get 2 birthday cards at the end of August and there were Christmas cards in the shop then!
