Stoke made a fantastic appointment in O'Neill and then have steadily improved the side. Fair to say the improvement wasn't instant though...

I thought exactly the same to be honest, was meant to be one of the plus points of having Karanka.

He'd have been on the bench behind Sanchez and Bela anyway so even ignoring our league position, thats not an attractive sell.

We have bigger priorities imo

Stoke have done exactly what we wanted to do. Get in some decent players and a good manager and push for play offs then come January get the players they feel are necessary to take them to the next level

For real though, everyone was happy at the start of the season and couldn’t see how many issues signing even more older players could bring.

But we needed more leaders. We have more leaders now and we are still shit.
