Just a ridiculous decision by John 'DvB' Useless to change the attacking players tonight. Miyoshi and Stansfield combined fantastically on Tuesday and yet both start in different positions tonight to accommodate a striker who has scored once from open play in 11 months
Hogan yet again barely touches the ball, doesn’t effect the game in any way, and when we put the ball on a plate for him he misses a sitter
Piss take seeing Stansfield wasted wide left after Anderson went off
John 'DvB' Useless took Stansfield out the game by moving him to the left.

Said this before the game. We accommodated for Hogan and for that we made our two best players passengers, crazy decision.

Agreed, but even in the 10 role it’s pointless when Hogsn is the 9

Yep
Hogan managed 2 passes and touched the ball 9 times but that is ok because he is there to take chances.
It will continue to be a major issue to not have a centre forward.
However every substitute made us worse tonight. Burke being the replacement for Anderson for the foreseeable future is utterly depressing. I would rather shoehorn James back in.
I thought Longelo on for Hogan was the move to make. Push Stansfield centrally and let manny terrorise the full back, with Burke and Miyoshi also behind in a three with Longelo.
Dembele was miles off it and Juke non effective whatsoever.
RasputinOh joy.
Another anti Hogan thread.
yawn.
He’s right though. Moving our best striker wide, or further back to accommodate Hogan.
Bizarre

So explain what positive impact he had on the game yet again. The bloke is an absolute liability. Stansfield at Preston was everything Hogan wasn’t tonight. Surely the Hogan sympathisers must have seen the light now.

Stansfield is not a 10 regardless. You can see in and around the box he just wants to shift and shoot. He is very good at getting himself half a yard, he is not a creator.
He can however also drop in and link up play aswell. This isn’t an anti hogan thread also it’s a ridiculous John 'DvB' Useless decision thread.

Are you surprised? What does Hogan offer now?

I wanted Dembele for Hogan with Stansfield going up top. Didn’t feel the game warranted Juke at that point

We looked like we hadn’t trained in how to play with Juke up top
Felt the same Longelo for Hogan and Stansfield up was the move to make
