Depends on what we're offered. If that money gives us more wriggle room to complete deals elsewhere - particularly if James isn't about to exit the building - then I can see why Blues might entertain it.
Nose of BluePrime example of this was away to Sheff Wednesday, cost us the 1st goal as he refused to track his man back. He was still walking towards the half way line when they scored.
So frustrating as he could be outstanding if his work rate was anywhere near the require standard. Reminds me a bit of Louie Donowa.
He cost us against Ipswich too.
I was saying to my brother the other day, other than shooting, he has very little end product. He would tear up the league but I can't see how he fits the high energy/ press style, so I think he'll be off. Though tbf to him, he did work hard when he came on against Rangers, and won a couple of balls in our defensive third. If the penny has dropped, keep him.
theAtlasHackneyBlueIf we can upgrade him then fine, might be difficult though
I think Hansson will prove to be an upgrade personally. Not got the same box of tricks as Dembele but will offer more over 90 minutes in my opinion. If Dembele is happy to stay and be an impact player off the bench then fine because that’s what I think his role will be.
i dont disagree but we need depth, and selling him for 1.8mil to replace with someone not as good doesn't seem worthwhile.
up to the manager though i guess
I'd keep him, £1.5m is peanuts and he will offer a good option in League One, would be every other team in the leagues best player. Imagine playing against Hansson for 60mins as a full back and then we bring Dembele on.
Yeah agreed with most comments on here he’s very frustrating and he’s greedy on the ball if we are to lose 1 player he would be it for me if we could get half decent money for him .
Sid JamesDarren Witcoop is reporting some championship teams are lining up to swoop for the blues winger.
I think he tears up league one, but… we have Hansson, maybe some young players like Donovan can play there plus we can bring someone else in. If we make a profit I’m inclined to move him on.

I know he’s left footed but I think left wing wouldn’t be ideal for Donovan at all.
Dembele seems to have the right attitude this pre-season like something has finally clicked and I don’t think people should forget Anderson because one thing for sure he definitely applies himself to be the best he can.
We don’t need Dembele but I would really like to keep him. I think he adds a few points I really do and we’ll be defending from the front anyway through the press.
Sid JamesIf he is happy being an impact player off the bench at times, i would be way more inclined to keep him
Imagine bringing him on with 15 mins to go, its a cheat code honestly. Tiring full backs will hate it
If we play 60 games next season, he will get plenty of chances to start as well.
Agreed its refreshing to know that we do not need to sell anyone
No way I'd be selling him, and if we do we need a replacement.
I don't see Donovan as a left winger and Anderson has injury problems.
Dembele is a fantastic option either from the start or off the bench, him and Hansson should be rotating regularly.
A motivated and driven Dembele is probably one of our best players
He was electric at Peterborough and was pretty outstanding under Eustace.
No way I’d sell either.
It all depends on him. If he’s willing to stay and fight to play, then he should be a star in this league. If he’s going to be an arse, he can go. I’d back us to replace him with someone younger who buys into what we’re trying to do.
I do wonder if he wants out. I’ve heard rumours to that effect but like all rumours I can’t vouch for the veracity of them.

I’m obviously biased but I don’t know how anyone could want out of something that has the potential to be amazing and being a part of that.
Whenever I see reports of multiple clubs interested, I always (perhaps wrongly?) assume it's player/agent led and they want the move.
Ideally I'd like to keep him, because I think we'd struggle to find better for the money we'd likley receive. But if he wants out good luck to the lad.
StechyBlueBut I'll be happy with whatever chris decides is best.
Sell him.
