Dunno.

Nice to see Dan Evans will never win anything important.

Happened to look up Dan Evans career earnings the other day. Around £7m. That's million! And I know a large chunk is spent on jetting to tournaments around the world but feck me.

And there was me thinking there is far too much money sloshing around in football for average standard players.

That's what happens when your own Mother tells you to eff off at 16 - agreed about how he spoke to his son, which was awful, but if your own mother can't show you affection, it has a massive impact on how you communicate your own feelings to others.

Yeah, it was fairly clear that he viewed his aunt and his coach as his 'real' parents.
The cold never bothered me anyway

To be fair, he wasn’t average. His late career was very good and he had a very personal and effective style. Top 30 in the world - you’d earn far more as a footballer.

Amazingly though, Daley is still as big a dick as he was when competing.

Though I agree he was a fantastic athlete. Seb Coe was somewhere up there too and I think he didn’t/doesn’t fall in the likeable,e column.
Seb Coe gave my friend a lift on Snake Pass when we were at Sheffield University. He said 'I'll give you a lift if you don't ask any stupid questions'. My friend jumped in and his first line was 'What do you think of Steve Overt then?'. Coe laughed to be fair to him.

Mo Farah and Paula Radcliffe are the best athletes we’ve ever had by about a billion miles.

Mo was faster than Coe at the 1500m despite only running it as a warm up, and at one stage had every British record between 1500m and the marathon, as well as a double double at the Olympics and 7 consecutive global golds in the most competitive of all global events.

Paula had a bad time with illness at Olympics but ran 2.15 for the marathon in the old racing flat shoes. Which is probably 2.10 high in super shoes. Staggeringly good.

Daley and Coe are two of my heroes but not in the same league.
You can only be the best in your era. Pointless to compare.
