Hansson, Yokoyama, Wright is fairly mobile.. Laird if he wasn’t injured.. I would argue they’re hardly slouches!
I wouldn't particularly describe any of them as pacey though. Certainly not the pace that can't be defended against with basic good positioning.

Yokoyama is definitely pacey

Really?

From the limited amount I've seen so far. Good acceleration/change of pace, agile, tidy dribbler but I don't see electric pace over 40/50 yards.

Fair. Maybe I'm talking about acceleration which I would argue is better than pace.

Leicester were an anomaly season, I think it being the only time proves the opposite of what you are saying.

It was also comfortably the lowest points total of the last thirteen years. They won it because the other teams didn't perform even close to as well as they have every other season.

First to come to mind, Mourinho and Simeone also have quite lower possession stats particularly when against equivalent better opponents (Athletico was barely 52% overall year they won the league’s vs Barcas mid 60s) and they’ve done well.

So they won having most of the possession…..

I dont agree. I watched the Wrexham game today and how they were 3-0 up I’ll never know. Up to the 3rd goal Shrewsbury had been the better team. They are Nothing special, no real pace, don’t keep the ball at all well, no technical players. What they do well is, they are very physical and aggressive in challenges, they get the ball forward and wide quickly and seem to be very efficient in converting limited chances. I’ve watched all the Welcome to Wrexham shows but they have now become deeply unlikable- typified by James McLean. Moaning, dirty and cocky, hope we smash them to pieces.

This 100%.

Wrexham's conversion rate from their chances is unreal. Lumping the ball into the box and feasting off the confusion seems to be the order of the day. I can't see this being a successful long term tactic. Famous last words.

For me they've turned into the 'deeply unlikeable' team too. I'd love to smash them but can also see they have the potential to cause us damage if we give them the chances. Keep it tidy and they will struggle to fashion much, but they'll also be very difficult to break down.
I’d argue Hansson and Yokoyama are pacey, even laird is rapid..

Maybe I was being a little over the top with my initial comment, but compared to Wrexham’s team I would argue we would have them in that department

I can see this being either a 3-0 win or a 0-3 defeat. All depends on who gets the first goal but it's definitely the sort of fixture that either side could end up winning comfortably.

I hope you’re wrong because I don’t see us beating anyone comfortably for a little while longer

Why are they deeply unlikeable?

We are probably going to get the same thrown at if by the way.

So they won having most of the possession…..

Well no, because Barcelona would have won. 65>52

I’m the games they played in. I don’t know what point you think you are making. No one disagrees that what you do with possession of the ball is the critical thing, but on balance teams that have the most possession in games tend to come out on top which is indisputable. To some anyway, who say they are not disputing something but carry on doing it.

I can understand them being deeply unlikeable if you were in league 2 or the conference with them, but they've done absolutely nothing to us to get that tag.
