Feck Christmas. I hate it.
I effing love it enough for both of us FB.
I can sort of see what some people wouldn't exchange gifts with their loved ones if that's their thing but it's not for me.
It's a nice opportunity to show people you've taken the time and effort to think of something for them. Mrs Zigic will be showered with thoughtful gifts as is my prerogative as a top top husband. Can't wait to see my kids faces when they open their presents.
The boys are 2 and 6 so they're bang up for it, it means there's a bit of magic to it.
I don't need Christmas as a reason to do something nice but it's a nice traditional time of year to go the extra mile.
2 weeks off work, nice food, booze, friends, family, time together. I effing love it. Sign me up.

Great ages, those kids. Treasure these times.
Thank you, it's great. I'm permanently knackered but it's good fun.
Fat Buddha CBEGreat ages, those kids. Treasure these times.
Spot on.
If you have kids then fantastic do whatever you can to make it magical for them.
Just that for us and the extended family all of the kids are now, well not kids anymore so we just spend time together over Christmas and spend our money on anything we want plus a get together.
This year me and the Missus are off to Vegas in a few days and back just in time for parties with friends and then Christmas with family at our place. Have already procured some interesting beers so all looking good.
That said I do look forward to the footie on Boxing day.
You probably don’t realise how good the next 9 or 10 Christmas’s will be. The next 4 or 5 with both kids believing will be fantastic. Enjoy it. Treasure it. Kids make Christmas.
II only get Christmas Day and Boxing Day off and the missus is working Boxing Day this year but we’re always off the week after and her Birthday falls in that week, so that week now is our favourite week. NYE can eff off as well
I have a good idea but it will probably be better than I think.
We have a short window with Santa as you say, especially with the eldest now, so we're going for it.
He's absolutely bonkers into planes, so on the 23rd we're taking him to a Santa's grotto onboard a retired 747 at Cotswolds Airport.
It's nice because it makes it magical for you too seeing their faces.
I'm sure everyone on here will have a good Christmas keeping it in their own way.
Two home games as well, superb. Thought Mrs Zig is at work at the Children's on Boxing Day night, that's the only shitter.
I don’t mind having next to nothing in gifts, I get more jot out of seeing others pleased with their lot. But now my lad is 22 it is really nice to see him make an effort for me and the missus (his Mom). As well as the little things in cards like ‘thanks for all you do/have done for me’
For a occasional loon, I haven’t done a bad job at this parenting lark, even if I do say it myself
Two days off for me too Rab. Two of the kids home for a couple of days one in Australia, so the Mrs will be full of angst. After spending like a bastard I’ll be cooking like a bastard, drinking like a bastard and keeping a lid on my emotions like a bastard .
Whats not to hate?
You’re a beautiful man FB. The epitome of the working class hero.
SHA’s Al Bundy. And that is meant very much as a compliment
I love the Christmas-tide and yet,
I notice this, each year I live
I always like the gifts I get,
But how I love the gifts I give
