Yeah could be the Royal George with the ship on the wall.

The outrigger looks like it was round the corner from the Royal George directly opposite the tavern.

Was that previously the Outrigger?

Think so, the one on stilts?

The outrigger became the ship ashore and closed in early 98. I used to go there a fair bit because it was one of the few indie pubs in Brum at the time.

A good few blues would know Tony Reynolds who used to DJ there and still does a bit round town and it Sutton. Tony’s 70 now but before lockdown was DJing at the Bull Ring tavern. Still think he does some of the mod nights at St Ann’s

Paul Cook was the DJ on a Friday who used to do the 60s room at Snobs and opened the sunflower lounge. I think Paul supports that lot over the expressway.

Was the Royal George the pub that had the neon pint glass sign outside?

Think it was Dunlevey’s in it’s latter years

I think it would have been because the ship/outrigger was further round next to moor st
