Thinks they deserved a draw. I’m starting to wonder what people see when they go to games.
I’ve watched the highlights on Sky. First game I’ve missed since Exeter in the Vertu and I didn’t bloody like it. Checking phone for the score all game in boozer and curry house after a day at Cheltenham. Looked like we were worthy winners on the highlights but a softish pen helped.
So how did we play without me listening to their biased chump of a gaffer?

First half we passed the ball as well and quickly as we have all season. Stampsted made some great runs which dragged them across, Paik took up the space as almost a second CF and that left Hanson wide open for prime pirlo to hit him with wonder passes.

Once we went 2 up they spoiled the game me the ref went from competent to demonstrating the worst level of refereeing I’ve seen. He was beyond dismal, some of his decisions were simply hilarious

Willy looked better, Dowell very good and I thought Hanson had one of his better spells, not sure why he went off

May did well for the second goal but should’ve scored himself following that but lobbed over, he’s clearly anxious in front of goal

First half brilliant. They couldn’t handle our movement, switches from side to side and overloads. Sampsted and Iwata outstanding.

Second half we backed off, some unusually bad passes from us to give them the ball in good areas, they had a go but the result wasn’t ever in doubt.

Allsop’s passing was ace again.

When are managers not going to say

It’s a difficult place to come
Their goals were disappointing and sloppy
Our goal(s) were outstanding
We’re going to
Learn from this and take it into the next game
Etc.

The penalty was pretty soft. We’d have not liked it being given against us.

That’s mad, it was barely a contest
Happy Clapper
Yeah I should have mentioned Dowell. His ability to find space is excellent.

He's a moaning prick and typical of the cliched tosspots we hear every week. As for the nonce iterviewing him, he should get a job commentating on local parks junior football. Clueless
Dance before the music is over.
Enjoy every minute.

Imagine virtually every other home game this season, it was like that.

I will give them credit for fighting longer and harder than most teams have at St Andrews this season. Even though they were trying to herd fog at times.

Much better than Saturday.

First half Stevenage were as bad as Cambridge, woeful control and touches and genuinely looked like a national league side or worse.

They got better second half as we slowed down a bit and their goal was decent, although we defended diabolically for it.
Yeah and he’s not scared of taking the ball when surrounded, he’s calm, I like him

I thought Stevenage were decent - ish, had more of a go than plenty of other teams and at least tried to play when they had the ball at times.

To say they deserved anything would be bizarre though.

We did get sloppy last 30 minutes and the increasingly erratic reffing meant you always thought "something" might happen - but really, nah. Just another manager who "thinks they deserved something" but is wrong.

Set up not to lose

Lose by a single goal

Have very very few opportunities in the game

Go home saying you were in the game, a bit unlucky and how proud you were of the performance against a side with so much quality and infinitely more resources

Trouble is, the marker for what’s decent against us is a side having a couple of shots at goal

It was like a prem team v league two cup game last night and the ref was from the central Warwick’s league
