By mid March in season 1994-95 we'd played just two home midweek league games (not counting silly season over Xmas). Compared to what, 5 or 6 already this?
Wycombe and Crewe
We had Oxford to come March 21st and then a couple towards the end of the season including that great night against Brentford
madI love a midweek game but there are far too many of them now. Is there any chance this'll be rectified over time either by extending the season or limiting the number of obscure international breaks or by placing all the FA Cup rounds from fourth round onwards into midweek?
Totally agree, we've had 9 home games over the past 39 days.
Next season in the Championship will be better as they account for the international breaks, so there's more of an even distribution of home / away games across the autumn.
Sometimes things happen such as holidays, illness, family matters, etc and we just can’t make every Game. Such is life.🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
It doesn’t make you any less of a supporter.

We also enter the FA cup in the third round; we lost four Saturdays to that competition this season
That 94-95 team had a brutal run of fixtures around wembley. Played April 15th, 17th, 19th, Wembley 23rd, Brentford 26th
ThongsSutton and Blackpool were on Sundays 😛
You know what I mean you pedantic arse 🤣
Compare the gates with championship games last night and only derby and Sunderland had better gates so not all that bad really and we was playing Stevenage not a big pull for fans and it was Baltic last night I was frozen in the gill merrick upper
I think quite a few season tickets holders find it easier to watch it on sky plus rather than rush home from work and struggle trough traffic to get there in time. There are definitely empty season ticket seats near me for night games.
You can't blame them really, especially in winter. There is a lot of hassle and commitment involved in getting to football these days for a lot of people.

I've missed a couple for that reason - wel, more accurately, my mate has to finish work in Birmingham, get back up the M6 to Stafford, then we battle the M6 again. As he works outside most of the time, it's a bit of a tough ask to do every midweek game, particularly as he gets up at about 4.30am, and the M6 stands a good chance of being closed in parts (as it was last night) on the way back up home.
It's an easy choice sometimes if the game's on the red button. I'm glad we made it last night though, as the ref was worth the effort in comedy value alone.
ThongsThey made it to the cup semi though
Oh no we didn't.
Thongsyeah big diffrence to a cup semi final then a league game against Stevenage when it’s freezing cold and we have played a lot of games recently as as I put we had higher gates then all but 2 championship games last night so not all badThey made it to the cup semi though

Yeah, lot of people are likely to still be at work. Factories, bar staff, hospitality, etc.
Mid week games do suffer. Then you've got the TV options as well.
