Right where's my pin !!
This is so difficult, I really struggled to form any kind of strong opinion on this.

I'm having a small ew bet on Caldwell Potter. Alex Ferguson and his cronies bought this horse for a ridiculous amount of money out of Gordon Elliotts yard. He won his first race for new connections but has been beaten in his last 2.
After the last one, they said he is definitely a two miler, so here they are running over 2 1/2 miles!

The real reason I am backing it is, one of Fergusons cronies was John Hales, who was a well known owner for years, unfortunately he died recently, the horse will run in his colours and after yesterday's poignant events...you know it will happen.
Tenuous reason to back a horse, but hey, a winner is a winner🙂

Just the 24 runners in this one..

I love trying to get a handle on these big handicaps, but this just makes my head hurt.

Again small stakes only, i dare say a few have had this in mind all season, but who, God only knows.
D Art D Art has been backed this morning, he is half the price he was, that could be significant.

I've chosen three against the field, but with no real conviction.

There's a lot of talk about D Art D Art in my part of the world because of the jockey booking and a trainer who knows the time of day.

However, Feet of a Dancer has been hyped for awhile. Trainer is about 10 minutes away from me and the locals will be on.

Rockies Diamond runs later. Again I saw it win twice at Gowran and in my tracker. 25/1 at the moment

That coupled with the general shift in atmosphere there, that people go to go to the Guinness village, powder their noses and act like numpty’s, it’s enough to put people off.

It’s pretty much just a 4 day Peaky Blinders pint chucking cosplay convention.

Fact to File is a fairly short price for this, I'm not sure he has lived up to hype surrounding him yet.

Protektorat's best form is when he leads, he won't lead today, not with the French horse Il est Francais running, he only has one way of running, fast, very fast. He may do something similar to Allaho from a few years back if you remember, led, seemingly going to fast but never came back.
But they could ruin the race for each other.

I think Djelo wants slower ground.

Envoi Allen and Jungle Boogie are too old you would have thought.

That leaves Master Chewy a 40/1 shot. He loves a strong pace to run at, he beat Liberty Hunter last time out, that horse was running well in yesterday's Queen mother chase before falling.
At last years festival he was running a huge race in the Arkle behind Gaelic Warrior when he fell when 3 lengths down but running on.
I may have had too much wine celebrating The New Lions victory but there are worse 40/1 shots running today.

Master Chewy ew 🤷

Went a few years back, was like going to the darts, but freezing cold.

The November meeting is much better though, crowds just about right, and more people interested in the horses, not just getting f'in mortal and acting the c'ant.

I think Master Chewy is overpriced but I can’t see him getting home over 2m 5f

Yeah. I used to work in a pub maybe 5 miles from the course and this week every year was absolute chock full of bellends for miles around. Every other meeting was fine and the people all sound.

Teahupoo is a worthy fav, although is was interesting his stable mate The Wallpark was backed this morning.

I'm having a couple.

Lucky Place is an unknown over this trip, but runs as though he will appreciate it.

Bob Olinger doesn't stay so can't win, ( unless everything falls) but he does travel really well and might hang on for a place, he's an old favourite of mine, I'd love to see him run well

A lot easier this one, just the 20 runners.

On only his 2nd start for his trainer and his first chase, TheCompanysergeant is the selection.

He has course form, with the change of yard hopefully rekindling his form, I reckon this race my have been the target for a while.

Nine Graces travels like a good horse, especially last time out, where he seemed to do things easily. Stable had a winner yesterday. He can go close.

I'm also having a bit on Sine Nomine, he won the foxhunters last season, a strong run race over this sort of trip is right up his street.
