I think CD should compromise because you can't have total control of the ball and pace in attack. There has to be give and take with risk and reward, and given we're not going to be the dominant team in a lot of matches, we won't be able to have the same level of control. Whether he sees it that way we'll find out in the summer.

I’m fairly confident the aim will be to build a team that has control in most games we play.

Not every game obviously, it won’t be the same, but I’ll be astonished if we’re conceding possession to your Prestons and your QPRs. Stepping over these clubs we historically lose 1-0 at has to be goal #1.

Yes will be interesting to see if we add to the Asian contingent as I think we on to something. Problem going down this route his csn they handle physicality. Yoko=no

You can say that about any nationality though.

We’ve had some weak as piss Englishmen over the years.

Yeah you could argue the opposite and say that Iwata is one of our most robust.

It's just lazy old stereotypes in reality.

I'd say iwata puts himself about more then paik. Paik can go missing in games. But I see paik getting better and better with experience in English football.

There was no Iwata, scoring from 30 yards.

So we are basically looking for another wide player that Is comparable to keshi but with pace. That's not gona come cheap.
I think it'll be
-------------New Striker
Stansfield Dowell/Harris/WW. Poku

The 10 next season will be new and a ridiculously exciting signing.

We may not know him too well the day he signs but he is going to be a star.

WW is being played because there is no other option with the starting formation and plan but he is getting dragged off earlier and earlier.

Unfortunately he is now a liability.

Harris is an option tbf. I’ve not been his biggest fan but it’s clear he’s gotten better as the season goes on and his pressing is genuinely fantastic.

I hope he starts Friday.
Tell you what that crack is really moreish.

I don't think the current 10s are at the level we are aspiring to be at next season, it seems inevitable we will be signing one and likely it will be a significant investment given the importance of the position.

Assuming it’s a similar system we currently have 4 players that could play there really, 5 including Stansfield.

I think we’ll prioritise other areas, but sign one (or both) of Dowell and Harris first. It’s tricky with Willum, and wouldn’t be surprised he is moved on.
Agree with Mod - I don't think any of them are good enough to start for us regularly next season in such a crucial position.

I think we'll sign Dowell as a squad player and upgrade all of the current 3 positions behind the striker.

Harris will definitely go, wouldn't be surprised if Hansson and WW were offloaded too.

Paik is doing what is asked by CD. To float and find pockets of space/create overlaps - where he may not be found - when we are attacking, as opposed to Iwata holding his position centrally and being the fulcrum. Iwata therefore is bound to be more noticeable.

Basically, yes. We're in a different class next season and will need more of a threat, pace brings that. We haven't got enough of it.
I don't think the owners are particularly worried about the cost either, they want success and know that'll bring in the money.

What we have to remember here is we got beat by 2 good goals the free kick and a good finish from a breakaway which they worked well it’s not like we was at fault for any of the goals , as for poku he’s defo a decent player and in a better team he would be a good player and would be a good signing

Not sure i agree with people turning their nose up at Poku. 23 Goals and assists from 27 games this season. He's a certified baller with end product. He was the player I feared most on Tuesday (he scored) and he was the player I feared most on Sunday
