Blame Rags for nicking the match thread back off me. Jinxed it

Ref was shit, we were shitter. Bad games happen, just a shame it happened on that stage

Dowell went missing in the manner Rangers fans mentioned for the first time. Likely not a coincidence it was the first game with real pressure, given their thoughts

After an evening of mild pouting about it, back to not caring less about the result. We won't have to play in that trophy next season, Peterborough can go for the three in a row of winning the cup that only exists for dogshit teams to have something to compete for

I think Davies will tear them a new one and will have seen yesterday as a stark realisation that there's still a lot of work to do on the squad, front four primarily

One embarrassing defeat isn't the end of the world. Up the fecking Blues

Agree with your Dowell comments, thought the same myself.

Pretty sure we’re signing him so will be interesting to see how he fairs back in championship.

If only people had listened to me in the first place

What did you say?

Agree with you apart from one thing - it wasn't embarrassing I don't think. 2 goals worthy of winning any cup Final and the team that turned up, won. Fair and square.

Edit - was meant for Amys' post H, not your answer.

Dowell is lightweight and ineffective. May have said shite.

When speaking to a Peterborough fan he was saying how they never lose at Wembley and first team to retain trophy.

I just pointed out that there is a reason we have not played in the comp for 30 years and good luck in trying to retain the trophy next season, as we cannot play in it. :)

Promotion was the aim, the double would have been a nice addition.

I wouldn’t sign him tbh. Not just based on yesterday

Their goals were phenomenal and they deserved the win, no arguments.

The "embarrassing" comment was more relating to the expectations both in our own fanbase and throughout the wider football following of the country that we should piss it. Peterborough gave us a proper humbling on the biggest stage possible

Biggest stage possible?

Biggest stage possible?

For this season, and for them especially, yeah. Wembley, televised for the country etc.

I could've been more clear in my thoughts tbf, I'm 5 pints down

Aaah I get that now - and you're right.

I thought we lost any sort of threat as soon as Anderson was moved to the other wing.

No idea how Dowell stayed on the pitch. I thought he was poor throughout but his performance wasn't worthy of saying he's not good enough to sign.

Hard to pick out any of them that played well in honesty, a collective poor performance at the wrong time.

Our legacy won't be losing this final this season though, hopefully it will be setting the all time points total record with at least 4 more wins.
