With much talk lately of us being very one dimensional and slow in possession. Do you think, in theory, if the 2 above weren’t unavailable for over half a season like they have been, we would have played differently in games?
We started the season with 4 wingers. Only Keshi really has been consistently available, with Yokoyama not fancied and Wright and Hansson injured.
I expected more off Hansson and Thor if played wide. And wasn't really sure on Wright. But expected more goals from the 3 of them.
Losing them and Dykes has hurt more than people realise I think.
Dykes has been quite a big miss I think....more than the other two.
He was very effective just before his injury.
4 wingers at the start and only Keshi has been a success for a few different reasons.
It’s hard to make a balanced opinion on Hanson or Wright.
Surely CD would have hoped for a better return so yeh it must have altered his game plan.
Super HansLosing them and Dykes has hurt more than people realise I think.
👍
It may have done slightly but I don't think either have shown anywhere near the consistency to have impacted games sufficiently. Also, Davies is wedded to his way of playing.
I still believe we should have kept yokoyama with Hansson and wright being injury prone. We’ve really lacked pace & creativity on the wings. Won’t get away with it in the championship.
Definitely, both of those players are direct and we're playing well before their injuries.
Dykes as well been a big miss
Yokoyama wasn’t good enough and I’m pretty sure he wanted to leave anyway
I don't get the constant comments about not getting away with pace and creativity in the Championship.
Burnley are 2nd and have played 25 games this season where they have scored less than 2 goals a game. 57 in total.
To an extent, they have been very similar to us this season.
So surely the aim should be to continue developing this style which is close to smashing league records? I am pretty sure players have been identified to strengthen and I really don't see why we would suddenly try and sign someone in the ilk of Poku (creative and pace) and then have to change the way we play.
I think we should carry on playing same way but imagine if we had someone on the right that gave same impact as keshi plus wiv laird. I think we wil sign poku only if he is inclined to play Davies way. Others wise its dembele treatment.

Dykes as well been a big miss
Missed because he was plan B when we need to go more direct. He hasn't been very good though really .We need better up front , for me he is on the can go list .
Sheev PalpatineYokoyama wasn’t good enough and I’m pretty sure he wanted to leave anyway
Who knows whether he was good enough, as we never saw enough of him.
But to let a direct, pacy & skillful winger leave after a few months when the alternatives were all injured wasn't a good decision for me.
