It’s mental. I think people think we will get about 10m for him and think he must be on 30k a week

The blokes a great player. Again people need to remember he lost his place to injury not form and Davies kept the shirt as he played well

This again demonstrates the advantage of having a good squad and 2 players for each position who could start

He’s way too immobile for central midfield, holding or not.

What he is is a very, very good championship centre half and will be arguably the best 3rd choice in the entire league.

Agreed.

You need young knees to play in our current midfield.

We need at least 4 centre backs. At lest one of whom won't play very much.
If we sold Bielik we'd be looking to replace him with someone at least as good. I doubt the PSR saving would be great.
I'd be disappointed if we were having to wheel and deal to avoid a breach next season.

As and when we are looking at the PL Bielik would probably be too slow, but we are nowhere near that stage yet
And he is good for covering other areas in an emergency, so if he is willing to be a squad member then it seems silly to let him go unless we have identified some who is better and affordable.

I agree Bielik is class as a player and seems a top bloke to go with it, good attitude and leadership issues, I wouldn't sell him without a very good offer coming in, which can be said about all players TBF.

I do wonder though how much of it will come down to him. You have to assume we will sign either Davies or someone deemed to be better, or at least equally good but more affordable. Considering Davies kept Bielik out of the side for a chunk of the season, he might want to push for a move. Personally I don't think he will though, I reckon he will be a big part of our squad next year

I would not be desperate to sell but I would certainly entertain it. Harry Darling is a better defender and will be available on a free this Summer.

Though he played a total of 39 games last season, which is his joint most, so he might not be too bothered about "only" playing in 39 games.
He seemed happy at the end of the season, after his bad time at Derby he seems happy here and is playing a decent number of games. I really doubt he has any desire to move this summer - possibly next summer if he hasn't played much during the season... but then we'd likely also want to move him on at that point.

his lack of playing time last year might mean he's in the best physical shape he's been in for a while

I reckon he stays. Could be Klarer off, bag £10m and have Bielik and Neumann at CB?

or a back three of Klarer, Bielik and Neumann?

If there's one player in the squad I can absolutely guarantee you we don't sell this summer it's Klarer

Absolutely. Selling your fans & players, player of season winner would be absolutely mental PR and mental football wise. Not going to happen!

Been saying this for ages. And he’s much more of a threat at set pieces .

I don’t think anyone have said they want to see Bielik go, but the club have said they will grow ‘within the P&S rules’.

In an ideal world, you keep all your good players, but P&S isn’t an ideal world unfortunately.

Clubs have sold their grounds to comply, so I wouldn’t question the decision makers if they felt it was in the clubs interest to trade any player.

Bielik is a much better player than Harry Darling, imo, I'm not sure where this level of rating of Harry Darling is coming from tbh, he's alright, I don't think he's a top level Championship centre back.

Wary of my opinion on this as I’m very much in the ‘stop pining after players who played well against Blues’ camp, but I remember thinking last season that he stood out like a sore thumb when they came to St Andrews.

Looked massive and was particularly composed on the ball. That said, he was playing against a pre-CD Blues side, so not sure how much that tells you.

A lot of disrespect going Bieliks way, not fond of it.

My Blue Heaven
4th choice is wild

Since the start of March:

Player A was in the squad for all 15 league games and played 262 minutes. Was also in the squad for the Vertu final

Player B was in the squad for 7 of the 15 games and played 210 minutes. Wasn't in the squad for the Vertu final

By every metric Player A was higher up the pecking order than Player B no?
Tell you what that crack is really moreish.
