Is there a specific reason why St. Andrews isn’t used over the summer to host concerts?
Obviously its mainly new stadiums that host concerts, but I see that Ed Sheeran is doing a couple of nights at Portman Road and it made me wonder.

I wonder.
He's doing them to fulfill an old ambition to play there I think, pulled a few strings as he is an investor now and was able to make it work with his schedule, read an article about it the other day.
Noone in their right mind would want to play there otherwise, and probably same for St Andrews TBF.
I did once see Elton John play at Inverness Caledonian Thistle's stadium though, which was a bit odd
TrialistiThe pitch
Install a retractable pitch and a roof at wheels and it would be a perfect multi purpose stadium.
He’s an Ipswich fan who sponsors their shirts?
We probably don’t do it because the grounds even worse currently for access than 4 sheds
Once we are in the Royal Kingdom of Birmingham sponsored by delta stadium, we will have the lot

Do you mean from a promoters point of view?

Bit late for Herman's Hermits now, I reckon. *
* One for the old gits
St Andrews can barely host football games. No chance with a concert.
Not anything since then so far as I remember, unless you count UB40 again last year.
Anyone who can fill a stadium is likely to play VP if they play in Brum.
It would need to be a group who specifically wanted to play at Blues and there aren't many of them.
The ground is too open and too close to housing for it to be ideal. You'd get noise complaints or it would be a terribly quiet concert.
The new ground will be better hopefully. Not close to housing, bigger capacity and properly close in at every corner.
Should be more attractive and fewer licensing issues.
😂 (post Google obvs, being a young 'un and all that)
I mean from the point of view it would be a crap live music venue
Did we have Duran Duran during the prem years? I remember the tickets phone line having a recorded message when you rang them.
