MutleyI’d steer. Lear of the penguin not sure the undefeated logo would fit in with it either.
Just do some retro now and again.
The Undefeated logo is probably one of the the sponsors that would work with it, as it could just sit in the white bit without crossing over into the blue on either side.
OldhambbtlTuckerMy Blue HeavenNo not in blue and white.Apart from all the other sides that wear it, agreed 😳
Like it or not it’s our most used kit and a massive part of our history.
To me it carries our identity like the stripes of Newcastle or the hoops of Celtic.
It's so most used that it has been our home kit in only 9 of the 150 years of our existence...
Like it or not the penguin shirt is iconic and the only shirt I'd buy. If/when we get in to the premier league it would sell bucket loads as it's instantly recognisable. A fantastic opportunity for Blues to increase the "Brand image" not just here but world wide. Very few of our previous shirts are memorable at all and the ones that are only by us fans. Marketing and Brand is huge now and we should be doing everything possible to solidify it. IMO that's the penguin and the world and ball logo. Both of which are a marketing teams dream.
The penguin kit is shit. Every iteration we've had since I've been alive ahs been shit. It's too white and and always looks naff.
the 2013 diadora nicolites one was dreadful
the F&C one was almost tolerable, but mainly because of who played in it. It still looked shit.
The Pony one was, well, Pony. Probably the best off a bad bunch
In your opinion.

This is bollocks
bbtlThe 1971-75 penguin shirt only looked good because it had long sleeves and therefore achieved a great balance of blue and white.
..yeah this, the original penguin was iconic, all the rehashes of it have been shite, let's not go there again 😤
I qualified as a graphic designer and you're really working with colour balance here to make the style work. I'd continue the white through the shorts to enable the theme to work with either long or short sleeves. Make even more unique to us. Collars, trim and inset patterns would of course be tweaked.
We now have at least 3 strips a season so plenty of options for variety elsewhere. But the club needs to build a world wide brand, sell the brand make money to buy the top players to be able to win everything.
Qualified as a graphic designer but aren’t you someone who tries to reject all brands? Not saying that’s bad per se but do you think it may mean you don’t really follow cultural trends when it comes to fashion?
TuckerYeh might thoughts especially with 150 yr stuff but apparently it’s shit never mind.
If you two are saying it’s great and everyone is saying it’s shit, do you not think you may be the ones that have read the room wrong on how popular it might be.
TuckerOldhamIt’s not so much the look it’s the marketing side that is the thing about getting the penguin back.bbtlTuckerMy Blue HeavenNo not in blue and white.Apart from all the other sides that wear it, agreed 😳

Knowing Wagner I reckon he could push for it tbh
I will concede this will work reasonably with Undefeated as it can be narrow. The Penguin cannot work with a landscape logo as you can’t spoil across different coloured backgrounds. So if you ‘know Wagner’ you would imagine he wouldn’t be keen on something that was difficult to shift long term.

Oh you already said it
ForeverFrancisOne of the kits should be a Small Heath Alliance retro effort for 150 years .
Our first home kit was blue with a yellow sash.
Our first change kit was all white .That would be an away kit nowadays .It's called a change kit(still) because in the early days of the football league teams only changed kits if there was a clash , and it was the HOME team who changed if there was .
Was it?... I thought it was dark blue with a white diagonal sash - and we replicated it (albeit with a slightly lighter blue) for the 140 years season. 2015-16.

Correct. My Degree is in Graphic design but I didn't ever pursue it as a career. I enjoyed the designing but not the market. Most of my work has been in Engineering or Joinery.
If you heard right, then we should be getting some teasers soon?
Don't they usually show it off on the Thursday and then release on the Friday?
There’s no contemporary evidence for the jersey. Only a 1956 article saying dark blue with yellow sash. White was assumed from a Norman Edwards monochrome graphic.
The earliest contemporary record I can find is from the Bucks Free Press in 1883 - and that has dark blue with a RED sash…
Le ModWas told 19th June, dunno how accurate that is. We're definitely having an 'anniversary badge' though
Hopefully it will be of Wagner taking a dump on a Villa badge.
We should put the kit on the Rotunda, bit of one-upmanship
i like the penguin , but instead of a white stripe and trim how about yellow
