A twitter ITK has gotten something right?!
We were linked with this Beadle lad a while ago. I remember reading into him then and he's very highly rated. Never seen the bloke play mind.
Would hope we have a purchase option in there
So would i.
Oherwise I can't see the logic in his thinking after 38 Championship appearances last year as first choice to suddenly put himself in a position whereby he get less game time

Now reported by someone at Talksport
Been linked with him since Jan 2024.
He'll be familiar with Cochrane and Leonard too.
Think this is a good signing

We've been linked with him for 18 months now

I'd describe him as promising. He still doesn't command his area as he should and as has been mentioned in other threads, on occasions he punches or parries, when he could have caught the ball. Some of his parries have been back into the danger area (centre of the box) where goals have subsequently been conceded or the opposition have luckily for us, shot wide.
These are things the goalkeeper coach should be working on with him, so that he develops into the 'keeper we know he can become.

I just dont see anything in him, other than average, at best. Way more mistakes than quality saves. Doesn't seem very commanding. Distribution poor. I know if I was a defender playing in front of him I would be nervous. Those in control must see something in him to be where he is, so lets see. I'll follow his career with interest.
I always said the same about Peacock-Farell. A disaster waiting to happen. Almost as if he was Iorfa in goalie form. Where is he now? On the bench at Brum in L1.
I think the loan kind of makes sense if there’s a purchase option in there.
At 20 years old - particularly for a keeper - you don’t want to throw dead money at him if it turns out he can’t quite get to where he’s expected to. Give him a year to show he can do it for us and job’s a good’n.

To this I’ll say, he’s 20. Incredibly young for a keeper.
Why are you selectively quoting?
“
Clearly very highly rated by the England set up. People look at his mistakes this season, but that’s exactly why he is out on loan. He’s very young and has actually saved us on plenty of occasions this season (remember the spells of saves around Derby/Swansea away).
With a few more years development and eventually an opportunity to become Brighton’s first choice goalkeeper, I think he will be right amongst it for the England squad.”
“He’s got 10 times more potential than BPF.”
“I don’t see it in the near future, but he’s all the potential. ”
There’s a big mix of views on that thread. I’m guessing if Brentford had based their scouting off a forum they wouldn’t have signed Donovan.
I'd imagine there will be a purchase option. All our loans last season were, all just ffp jiggery-pokery init.
He's 20 mate - as a keeper that's a babbie. He's highly thought of and has years of improvement in front of him. Trust in our recruitment, I'd say. Not a bunch of disgruntled fans whose owner can't pay the wages and are bitter about any prospect leaving.
Would have preferred Japanese or Korean but I will accept ol little hand.
