watched a fair bit of him the last few seasons, big gangly lad, great shot stopper, still makes a few poor decisions to be expected with age. only thing i find really weird is this lad cant play out from the back to save his life.
Maybe that's why it's a loan? the playing out from the back? maybe they think with better players to play the ball to it can be coached? a loan sounds a sensible move to me. BPF hasn't worked, so he can learn from Allsop.

Odd that they say he can’t do that. It was one of the things he was meant to be good at when we first looked at him.
He’s got lots of potential. A good signing if it’s right.

Never seen him have a good game tbh.

He looked poor for England U21s at the Hawthorns too recently.

Not overly enthused by this one but I imagine its because we gave 2 keepers long contracts last summer so don't want to waste too much budget on bringing another one in (one would assume we can't find a buyer for BPF after last season). Beadle made quite a few mistakes last season and seems like most of their fans wanted him dropped towards the end. However as many have said he's only 20, will improve for the experience and very highly rated.

Can't hurt to have a 3rd keeper at a similar level on low wages. Healthy competition! I don't like the reports that he is coming in as 'number one' though I would want to see Allsop start the season... its his shirt to lose.

You can't have watched the game against us then when Ugbo scored 2.

I agree about it being Allsop's shirt to lose. I do think he may get found out in the Championship though and expect to see plenty of Beadle eventually.

As for BPF he will surely be shipped out. I would be surprised if we can get rid on a permanent deal but would expect him to be loaned to League 1 if we can find any takers.

really doubt Brighton loan him somewhere without him being guaranteed a certain amount of minutes.

I think a loan to L1 covering half his wages with a recall option if needed is the best we can hope for in relation to BPF.

If that's the case I would be extremely concerned based on the comments around mistakes, command of his own box and inability to play out from the back.

Game of opinions though init!

They might be happy to let him fight it out for the jersey as part of his learning experience but we should then expect him to be recalled in Jan if he isn't playing - I doubt they would want him to spend the whole season on the bench.

It sure is - around this time last year, I was reading opinions about how shit Allsop was.

He'll be first choice.

There's no way a keeper that a Brighton see as a future first choice would be allowed to sit on the bench when he played 38 games last season.
There's too much opinion and not enough fact.

Whether he starts as first choice or not, if his performances are not good enough he will rightly come out of the team.

You can’t dictate to another team who they should or shouldn’t select.

If Brighton don’t like what we do with him, they can end the loan at the earliest opportunity and then decide not to do further business of this sort with us.

In terms of telling us who we should select once a player is on board though, they and anyone else for that matter can shove it.

Typically there's a fine/payment due for the games where they don't play, that's how these sort of loan agreements typically work
