Beadle is as an earlier poster said “an underwhelming signing”. Saw him a few times last season and can’t say I saw anything that Alsop offers. I had hoped we would be in for Mark Travers on a permanent (he was on loan at Boro last year). Would definitely been first choice.

Have to say that I know nothing about him whatsoever. Just checked Sofascore and he was 20th rated GK last season.

I’m not using that stat to say he’s no good because that would be silly, I’d have to watch him a good few times but that particular database shows him to be one of the poorer keepers in the division.

So a present England U21 international is underwhelming? Do you think Travers would come knowing he is not automatic first choice?

It is positive that he want to come and battle for a starter spot, shows he is motivated.

I think some need to give heads a wobble.

Watched him play for the U21's against Portugal down the Hawthorns couple months back remembering him standing out looked decent

I've seen him a few times for Sheffield Wednesday, thought he did very well there but their defence was not solid so that won't the goalkeeper out

I’m offering no judgment on him because, like BPF and Allsop, I haven’t seen enough of him, albeit it a bit.

What I will say is that nobody has called him shit which I know you really know and that England selected Michael Ricketts.

The '😁' is a bit of a clue that I wasn't being 100% serious 😉

I heard last night that a midfielder is close to signing (also on loan)

Do we have a name for this mystery midfielder?

Some geezer on twitter mentioned Harrison Armstrong

Moyes : "he will play a part in Everton's pre-season preparation before a decision is made about whether to loan him out again"

Never clapped eyes on him but reading about him he looks very good. Wouldn't be any option to buy, I wouldn’t think.

Everton have penalty clauses built in to loan deals where clubs get “fined” if their player isn't getting enough minutes.

Your bestie, John Eustace likes him Rags.

Leonard on the move? Good! It was a shocking decision to sign for the Blues last season - there were plenty of Championship clubs after him then (as they are now) and he wouldn't have spent all his time bench-warming either. With a good season in the Championship behind him, he could have been knocking on the door of the Scotland squad now.

I think this ‘Leonard didn’t play any football thing’ is a bit of a myth.

I reckon if you totted up most minutes in the squad he’d be comfortably in the top 15. Often the first sub in a world where hipster coaches are more interested in the concept of starters and finishers than who their best 11 is.
