I think this ‘Leonard didn’t play any football thing’ is a bit of a myth.
I reckon if you totted up most minutes in the squad he’d be comfortably in the top 15. Often the first sub in a world where hipster coaches are more interested in the concept of starters and finishers than who their best 11 is.
RagsRomanRibeyeI heard last night that a midfielder is close to signing (also on loan)
Do we have a name for this mystery midfielder?
Some geezer on twitter mentioned Harrison Armstrong
Moyes : "he will play a part in Everton's pre-season preparation before a decision is made about whether to loan him out again"
Yeah, I think I’ve shot this one down on here before

Checked WhoScored. He’s 15th, so I’m claiming the win 🥇
I don’t think that’s terrible. Not far behind TGH, and Leonard had a short lay off after the Newcastle game.
Leonard on the move? Good! It was a shocking decision to sign for the Blues last season - there were plenty of Championship clubs after him then (as they are now) and he wouldn't have spent all his time bench-warming either. With a good season in the Championship behind him, he could have been knocking on the door of the Scotland squad now.
I don’t think you know what “in peace” means.
El MayorHave to specify this is the midfielder, sure Beadle is happening loan but no option
Brighton fan here in peace. I'd be amazed if there is an option with Beadle's loan - I think he's very much in our succession planning. No idea where, exactly - he's probably behind Rushworth at the moment, who would be the most likely one to take over if and when our current Dutch no.1 keeper moves on, so probably not for us for a couple of years yet.
Loan deals are complex - none of us know what's in the small print, but one thing is for certain; he wouldn't agree to come to you - and nor would Brighton allow him to - to specifically be the second keeper. Anyway, good luck to him, and to you. Be nice if you can get the chance to beat those jammy bu88ers the Villa in 2026-27!

So was Stansfield.

There isn’t an option.

Sounding like a broken record Charcy, you can do better. Pick one of my other mistakes 😊
Tbh id be surprised if Beadle plays more than 5 games for us. Allsop is unparalleled with his feet. He offers us so much with his feet short and long. We massively missed his outball in the last game he missed and it was one of the few games we lost.
He's obviously not as brilliant with the traditional keeper jobs like coming for crosses or shot stopping (if he was he'd be the full package and wouldn't be playing for us). But the number of goals he gives away with errors will be made up for with his distribution and it sounds like Beadles distribution isn't his strong point.
RE Leonard, you have a point to a degree. He's a mid table championship player now with lots of improvement still to go. But unfortunately not quite good enough to play every week for the trajectory we are on.
I think Beadle will be first choice. No way will Brighton allow us to have him on loan to have him sitting on the bench
