No way will we have to play a keeper even if Davies wants to play Allsop

Beadle? Afaik yes but it’s never done until he’s holding a scarf on the Kop.

Allsop will be playing midfield.

I’m offering no judgment on him because, like BPF and Allsop, I haven’t seen enough of him, albeit it a bit.

What I will say is that nobody has called him shit which I know you really know and that England selected Michael Ricketts.

The '😁' is a bit of a clue that I wasn't being 100% serious 😉

I know, which is why I said ‘I know you really know’ lol.
My obviously not funny joke was that players being selected for England doesn’t mean that they’re always particularly good or that those doing the selecting always get it right.

You and Carlos Corberán share the knowledge.

Leonard on the move? Good! It was a shocking decision to sign for the Blues last season - there were plenty of Championship clubs after him then (as they are now) and he wouldn't have spent all his time bench-warming either. With a good season in the Championship behind him, he could have been knocking on the door of the Scotland squad now.

He had no idea we’d get Iwata signed afterwards. If he hadn’t arrived then Leonard would have played far more. You’re talking with the benefit of hindsight. Both player and fans here thought it was a great move at the time.

I dont see how Beadle isnt first choice if he comes

Excellent distribution, commands his area well and continually improving and developing playing club and U21 football

Hes a very good young keeper and better than Allsop who is also a good keeper

Genuine question as I don’t know the answer, but excellent distribution?

I’ve read the opposite.

Ive had 'can play out well' and 'decent with the ball at his feet' from my Derby sources scouting report so yeah ive probably over egged that aspect of his game a bit as Ive assumed hell have to be good to fit into the way we want to play

TBF, it would be surprising if he can’t play out.

I don’t think you know what “in peace” means.
I do. On this thread I am wishing James Beadle to have a great season with you, but also commenting on Leonard's rather unfortunate choice when he could have had a good season in the Championship already. Are you disagreeing with that?

We’re Blues. Not the Blues. Blues. Just Blues.
Apologies - visitor, not ITK! Need to find out the way this board works too, with regard to replies and quotes and all that, so apologies if I get some things wrong. And I am here in peace - an Albion fan with an interest in following our loanees progress (or in some cases lack of it).

Tbh id be surprised if Beadle plays more than 5 games for us. Allsop is unparalleled with his feet. He offers us so much with his feet short and long. We massively missed his outball in the last game he missed and it was one of the few games we lost.

He's obviously not as brilliant with the traditional keeper jobs like coming for crosses or shot stopping (if he was he'd be the full package and wouldn't be playing for us). But the number of goals he gives away with errors will be made up for with his distribution and it sounds like Beadles distribution isn't his strong point.

RE Leonard, you have a point to a degree. He's a mid table championship player now with lots of improvement still to go. But unfortunately not quite good enough to play every week for the trajectory we are on.
If that's the case he's likely to be playing against you for one of your rivals come January!
