Hi everyone,

I’m working on a side project aimed at making away days a bit easier — especially for EFL and non-league fans. Birmingham City take some of the biggest numbers away, and someone recommended I post here for feedback. The app helps with stuff like:

- Finding pubs near away grounds

- Planning travel

- Tracking which matches you've done

It’s all early days and very much a work in progress, but I’ve got a version live now and would really value thoughts from proper away regulars.

Takes 5–10 mins max to try and fill in a bit of feedback. No pressure, just trying to build something useful — and there’s a £50 EFL shirt voucher draw for anyone who helps out.

👉 App site: [www.awayend.co.uk]
👉 Feedback form: [forms.gle]

Cheers in advance, and all the best for next season back in the Championship!

I don't use Google play. Is it floss or slaveware? If floss stick it on F-droid and I'll try it.

Exactly what I would have suggested 👍

Downloaded it

First bit of feedback, update your divisions

Will have another look when you've put that right

I'll be nicer and say i think its a decent starting point, but probably more for the casual away supporter like myself who always ends up googling for pubs etc.

No one is going to travel starting from St Andrews though, so although the directions bit is decent, that needs a rethink.

Good idea, completed the form with a few ideas I have. Good luck!

Had honestly never heard of F-droid before reading this, so cheers for that.

Great point and this come up a lot when people try it. There's actually a way to set a customise the start postcode but clearly its not obvious enough.

Really appreciate it. I'll be doing a big upgrade before the start of next season. Every bit of feedback is going into the next version.

Good luck with this, i think you're on to something worth while.

Be good if the directions were more directed to the actual away end showing where the entrances for away fans are etc plus maybe a link into one of those "park on my drive" type apps ... and even train timetables

Surely "current location' as a starting point is the gold standard default here?

I really like the passport idea. I assumed id probably only been to 15-20 grounds but having just gone through it i was genuinely surprised i hit 28.

And it was really satisfying ticking them off

Definitely - will make sure this is also an option.

Nice one, glad you like that feature. You can also add individual visit entries for every ground, and add historical grounds that are now closed (see the filters). Not sure if either of those features were clear.
