So redoing my calculation:

21,000 ST available
18,000 Renewed
9,000 actuals on the waiting list
(you can see I'm making the maths easy)

33% chance of being offered a ST. Better odds than the lottery.

It's probably better than that.

For example, my son is on the wait list & went to >15 games last year so likely has a good chance in the ballot due to weighting of games attended.

However, there is not likely to be a 4-in-a-row in upper Kop or Tilton to move me, dad & brother to accommodate all of us.

We may have to pass on it & keep buying odd tickets for the little div.

This is an excellent idea. One third season tickets will give you 7 or 8 games. Which in my opinion would reduce the number of games the STHs would miss. If you have access to all 23 home games it is way too tempting to "just skip one" look at the "sell-outs" last year where there were loads of empty seats. Plus it keeps a larger number of fans hooked.

No chance it'll happen though.

agreed, I'd go for less season ticket holders, there were lots of them near me who didnt or couldnt show up for quite a lot of weeknight matches. Too easy when its cold and wet and available on the red button.

good point, at 22k st holders getting a couple of tickets or 3/4 together for a family will be a scramble

but thats not going to be much different whatever they do tbf
It will mean hospitality will be very popular as well. Good news

And nor should it, because it doesn't maximise revenue.
There's too much opinion and not enough fact.

Of course it would.

Ticketing is a shambles anyway, without adding this bollox to the mix.

If you want a season ticket, join the list. If you don't then buy something that's left over. Gone are the days where we have to be creative in order to get people to commit to multiple games.

Those days are long gone.

Hopefully.
