They’ve had their moment in the sun. They’ll do well but won’t dominate. Play offs for them. Fact.

I think it’s generally a poor league. Southampton, Sheff Utd and Ipswich will all need to have almost everything that can go wrong, go wrong, to not hit min 85 points.

Ipswich build last season’s team for this season.

I hope you’re right that they don’t dominate, but it’s a strong squad that will see some comings and goings, but likely to be spending more than most in our division.

It seems Leicester have a boat load of issues, but with the right managerial appointment they still have a Play Off squad even with points deduction and possible transfer embargoes. Sunderland went up with 76 points.

Momentum is a massive thing in football too as we saw with Ipswich going up the divisions, and Luton going down divisions.

Have Ipswich brought anyone so far ,haven’t really been keeping up with anyone else apart from us

Apart from selling Delap, which they didn't have a choice about, and releasing some fringe players, they've not been active yet.
Makes it a bit hard to judge how they will go - once things get going they could lose a few key players and it will depend on how they replace them.

I think they’ve probably been waiting to see who leaves. First year parachute teams are more likely to do most of their business late in the window.

We’ve got them at our place at a good time, when they’re in a bit of a limbo state. Like when we beat Leeds.

Yeah I said that to my brother when the figures came out I’m glad we have them 1st up , will be interesting to see how they go early on well all the relegated teams really of the 3 Leicester I think will be the ones who struggle what with the fans not happy with the owners and in trouble with the efl so I can’t see them being up with the pace setters and I’m unsure on Southampton but Ipswich will be the strongest of the 3 for sure I think

I was hoping McKenna would have got the Brentford job, but they went for the Keith Andrews lovely hair

Didn't Japanese journalists also say Fujimoto will join?

Think this still happens

Yeah, I still think one of Dowell, Fujimoto or another creative / attacking midfielder joins too.

I think every player they bought when in the PL was with this season's Championship in mind

Yeah was a very 'safe' window in that regard. I think (or more hope) they will lose Hutchinson as he's class, though I doubt that will be before we play them.
Tell you what that crack is really moreish.

Probably not Delap ;)

But otherwise I think so, just depends if they end up losing a few.
Hutchinson and O'Shea I can imagine having some Prem interest as a minimum.

Pretty sure O’Shea just signed a new deal

From his POV I’d be wary about jumping between relegated clubs every year - you don’t want to become the gen Z Nigel Quashie

Ah - a 5 year deal according to the BBC, so unlikely he will move.
