My Blue Heaven
Both are too rammed and full of dicks for my liking, don’t want to sound like a clean shirt but the amount of chav types smoking weed doesn’t help, it stinks
I get ya. I’m definitely not a clean shirt. But I like my shirt clean. I don’t vape or smoke so don’t wanna go home smelling like a spliff or a strawberry hubba bubba or wotnot

OC is decent and I don't mind the joint stock. Only for a couple of pints though. The royal is a nice boozer.
As for by blues, the George beer is shit but the first is always the worst and then they get better. I've used the George for probably 20 odd years but switched to the roost 2 years ago, the booze is better, there's more bars and the music is spot on.

Was shocked to see this thread still going lol. Then I was glad when I read the last two pages. Some great comments Brum's not so bad pub wise. Not a huge fan of OC's even though I stopped the night there 30 ish years ago as a Scouse pal knew the landlord. Was only half the pub open at that time and a bit rough and ready.

I've got a grotty old ex-KwikSave spoons and a nice newish one by me. The staff are great in the spread eagle and the pump house in equal measure though. Often see aye aye Hoppy in the one. They do a nice job with old theatres and cinema type buildings. Was in the Avion the other week it was a hot day and it was great except the place stank plus the decent ones do go the extra mile with the proper real ales

Don’t mind OCs but it’s definitely overpriced. Not a fan of the OJS, impossible to get served, shit layout, bar always seems to be covered in spilled beer 👎

You nailed it — consumer behavior shifts fast, and nostalgia doesn’t keep the lights on. If people don’t show up or if the venue isn’t adapting to post-COVID demands like outdoor space or locality, it’s only a matter of time.

Same goes for retail and online ventures too — if your offering and experience aren’t hitting the mark, no amount of goodwill will save it. That’s why having solid logistics for e-Commerce is vital for online businesses looking to stay agile, scale smart, and meet customer expectations head-on.
