Whats your favourite game under the following managers, since relegation from the Premier League? It doesn’t have to be the best, or most significant, just your favourite:
(I didn’t include Karanka as I refuse to believe anyone had a favourite game with him)
Hughton -
Clark -
Rowett (either stint)
Zola -
Redknapp -
Cotterill -
Monk -
Clotet -
Bowyer -
Eustace -
Rooney -
Mowbray -
Davies -
For me:
Hughton - Brugge away 2-1
Clark - Palace away 4-0
Rowett (either stint) - Derby away 3-0
Zola - dogheads away 2-1
Redknapp - Bristol away 1-0
Cotterill - (difficult) Sunderland home 3-1
Monk - Fulham home 3-1
Clotet - Stoke home 2-1
Bowyer - Sheff U away 1-0
Eustace - Albion away 3-2
Rooney - (difficult) Wednesday home 2-1
Mowbray - Sunderland home 2-1
Davies - Bradford home 2-1
Bayjasus you really must be bored, roll on august..
Tbf to karanka he had us top of the league for about an hour after the win against Brentford on the opening day.
CBA to go manager by manager but I'd say top 5 from that era
*Brugge home (arguably my favourite ever game)
*West Ham semi
*Leeds 4-5
*Fulham 3-1 staying up
*Promotion at Peterborough
We’ve had some bad managers over the years but Karanka for me stands out as the worst of them all. I was so excited about him but I absolutely detest him now, he was awful
I’ll give him some slack that lockdown season was soulless
For me John Bond was the worst.

Favourite Karanka game was the 3-0 home defeat to Bristol City coz he got the axe the next day.
How anyone can choose any Cotterill game is beyond words from the minute he got the job to the day he was sacked he just sucked the blood from the club, most boring despicable man I have ever seen and that's me trying to be nice about him
Zola the Burton home game
Rooney Leeds away.
An enormous sense of relief tbat they were going after each game.
