BluubaldersIn fact, let’s put him on a performance-related deal. £1m per goal OR assist.
(He wouldn’t have earned much last season in that competitive Saudi league.
In fact, from what I understand, he would have earned a big fat 0)
Eh?
Are you claiming he played for 'free' in Saudi??
I find the debate about him signing as the right price a bit mental.
Is he an upgrade on all our wingers? Yes
Is it a nice signing in terms of romanticism? Yes
Will we be signing him on mad wages/fee? Probs not.
Jameron CeromeWho said we have to sign him?
I just said that it's bonkers that fans of a side newly promoted from League One are turning their noses up at a player of such calibre. All because he's spent two years in Saudi.
“ Imagine thinking we are too good for a premier League winning player after being promoted from League One”
This is exactly what you said. You didn’t mention two years in Saudi. You may have meant something different, but it’s not what you actually said.
Anyway, pedantry aside I agree he’d be good.
And you similarly know that it's not the sole reason anybody is using to justify the signing, so you were being obtuse by saying Molby

I replied to a very specific sentence - why are you sticking your oar in?
Somebody has to stand up to the SHA bullies!

I’m just trying to keep the standards high. 🙏
No he’s saying based on his performances (on the same deal he’s suggesting blues offer him) he’d have earned nothing
He’s calling him crap basically
ChrisLe ModHad just typed out the same response but was using Danny Simpson, there are reasons to want him but him winning the league 10 years ago isn’t one of them
None of those three are 28 and theoretically still in their prime. Would expect better from you and HMS
I want to sign him, I’m just saying, winning the league 10 years ago is not relevant, it’s not a reason to sign him. I’d sign him cause he offers something we don’t have at all, running power and ball carrying, combined, sexual.
Gray is shit, Beadle is shit, England are shit (at all levels), Hwang is shit, even Wirtz is shit, but the internet went down for the Kyogo threads.
SHA is alive and kicking, we’re back.

Mild take: we’ve all been so corrupted by the allure of ambition that we don’t actually know what a good signing looks like anymore.
“We’ll be after better” has become a meme, but it’s kind of become a stick to beat any rumour with.
The pertinent bit is he and CD know each other from Leicester? ergo if CD decides he wants him, I'm in.
DG latterly in Prem struck me as not an out and out, typical winger man who tried to take on his man without fail, then cross.
You always got the impression, he could tear up the opposition with his pace and skill anywhere on the pitch, but rarely did that, often playing safer option instead. His general link up play and ball retention was good as a result.
He worked hard that I saw, tracked back and played for team. He also scored some spectacular goals out of nothing, as if a spark of belief was momentarily lit for once.
Its not hard to see why he fits CD who will know him better than any of us and what he is capable of. If the deal is reasonable I can see why blues hierarchy would be interested. There's also always been feeling with him, of untapped potential, if only he had more confidence. With blues fans behind him, at 29, maybe its not too late.
KRO.

I don't think it is the key thing but it is part of the experience he brings to the side - over 200 top flight games, including in the CL, and his first taste of the Prem was being part of a title winning side.

SHA has completely killed the fun of this one for me. I can alrealdy tell he will be the scapegoat if he does sign. Every miss hit pass, shot or failed dribble is going to be massively OTT.
