I think Dowell is technically a really good player. Just what we needed in the 2nd half of last season. He did drop off though and I’m not sure I’d go with him as a first choice next season. Tbf, definitely a good squad player though.
Davies is a really good defender and I think he’d be fine for us next season. 1st or 2nd choice.

If Davies was a couple of years younger then I'd be all for signing him permanently, but he'd probably command a fee and high wages on top of having little to no resale value.
Dowell has already proven he can perform in the Championship. I wouldn't feel comfortable with him as our main creator next season, but as a squad option who can play in multiple positions he'd be a very good signing.
Would like to see Dowell played more down the middle with fast wingers, think he would be brilliant then

Agree with this, but I’m sure Davies would drop wages for a 3 yr deal with us into his last year with Rangers (increase again subject to promotion)

Yeah if we challenging at the top end we need better them Dowell and WW first choice. We need a new number 10 possibly 2 with Dowell being 3rd choice and WW 4th choice but 2nd choice playing wide positons.

I would take them both back. However assume a lot is to do with the quality of the alternatives we would get.
If Sanderson and Bielik want to fight for their places, then I guess we don't need another centre half.

Depends so much on who's coming in, which no one can know atm.
I personally think it would be silly to start again for the championship.
We had a good bond and good dressing room. It's not just about the players ability but what they are willing to do for each other.
These lot ran through brick walls. They're a winning team of togetherness and rather than ripping it up and starting again, I'd like to see us (without breaking bank) keep the nucleus of that team together THEN build on it.

But..they might be looking at players who could possibly be good enough to play in the Prem so they spend big and get younger players. A lot will depend on how much we spend on strikers and widemen, a left back and in centre mid.
But players who can do a job, aren’t the height of our ambitions any more (I hope). Things have changed and we should all effin love that things have changed. Enjoy the rise
