The general racist trope is that all Turkish barbers are a front for criminal activity.

Like all racist tropes it's hugely caricatured and exaggerated by racists

If they only take cash, like any businesses , even ones run by Anglo Saxon honkies they should be treated with suspicion. If they take card payments then no suspicion required

It’s ok to open dodgy barbers car washes illegal vape shops and sell counterfeit cigarettes but by Christ don’t tell anybody on here you have a dodgy tv stick or you will be in big trouble 😜

Or tell anyone you’re English. Lock you up straight away

Some are dodgy, most aren’t, most definitely arent proper traditionalTurkish barbers just cheap skin fade artists

One of the 'Turkish' barbers near me are Afghans

If you think that all businesses run by immigrants are criminal then yes

They sound ace. A hair cut and an eighth of weed. What's not to like?
09:29, Sat 5 Jul
Yeah tbf I don’t think you need to be Turkish to run a Turkish barbers, as it’s more about the skill and services, I’m not Mexican but I’ll make Quesadillas; most of the shops that claim to be a Turkish barber, don’t offer the traditional Turkish barber services

Most on this forum would use them if they sold traditional ales and fancy lagers alongside a skin fade and ear hair burning
