Truth will out. It always does.

See 135 acres is quoted twice in that piece. That’s a big chunk of land.

It gets bigger every time. The way it's going we're going to be playing away at home every other week.

I went. A lot of it was what is in the public domain already, which was expected. Nothing massive in terms of new announcements. I don't get the impression that the Open House will be the grand unveiling either. They are looking to confirm the chosen architect this week, but the plans will be finessed ahead of release. They are aware of the blowback that another club recently got for rushing out designs and want to avoid similar. They are very advanced though and we will be amazed by the level of detail that is in them.

He's impressive and you can't help but be reassured when you hear him speak.

60k and built by 2031 remains the ambition.

If the design is that detailed, it’s not as wild an ambition as is often claimed.

Everybody they have spoken to says 2031 is viable. But then, they would it the want the work, I guess...

To be fair 2031 is probably the timelines without any delays but you'll never know what delays you'll encounter until the work and process starts

Thanks for the update. Would that be Man Utd he alluded to? I read recently that the "tent" may have to go if they cannot secure the land that's currently the freight terminal.

Completing in 2031 in time for the 31/32 season is completely doable if they begin this summer. Everton's new stadium only took 4 years to build - August 2021 was when the groundwork started. Assuming a similar timeline, beginning proper work this summer brings us to Summer 2030.

I was hoping for bigger than 60k.
And yes I realise how greedy that sounds, but I was

But I’m guessing 2031 this for completion of the whole site isn’t it and surely the ground will be built before then?

60k will be plenty, and I'm assuming future-proofing the stadium would be part of the plans meaning future expansion shouldn't be impossible.
