To be fair 2031 is probably the timelines without any delays but you'll never know what delays you'll encounter until the work and process starts

But I’m guessing 2031 this for completion of the whole site isn’t it and surely the ground will be built before then?

2031 for the stadium is surely the best case scenario without any delays, still think 2031 is pretty unlikely personally

Rest of the site being complete will probably take another 10 years I'd have thought?

It took Everton 5 years from approval to open.

I was hoping for bigger than 60k.
And yes I realise how greedy that sounds, but I was

I reckon we'll end up with about 63k

2031 is probably doable for the stadium but based on most constructions in this country we won’t really know until they start the actual project and even then they’ll have delays as they go along

It's not set in stone either way yet. There's factors to consider around hospitality, press access, where to put away fans etc. 60k is the guide for now because of the games it allows you to host.

If they’re announcing these dates they’re unlikely to be wildly optimistic in my view. The new stadium will be part of the overall business plan, the people involved here are experienced developers and I’d have thought some contingency would have been built in to the timescale.

I take the point people are making about delays but I would be reasonably confident the projections wouldn’t be too far off. It’s also pointed out fairly often that our owners aren’t in this for charitable purposes and during the development period you have outlay and no return.

A lot of it will be to focus minds and give people deadlines to chivvy them along. It's construction, it will always overrun, but make it as strict as you can early doors to lessen the chance of piss-taking

Will be interesting how they plan the scale up the attendance. To go from a stadium in May that holds around 28k to a stadium that holds 63,000ish in August whilst keeping a decent atmosphere will be a massive challenge even in the prem.

There will be a huge variation in pricing. Which I think is key.

I would expect some pricing to match or evenbe lower than we have currently especially for the low seats. Looking to attract people who cannot afford to go often especially families.

Said it on here a million times but it's worth repeating. If we're in the prem we'll get 60k easy.

Any club in a large city would. Premier league football is incredibly popular.

We didn't sell out every game last time we were in the Prem

Offering existing ST holders the option for a relative or friend to buy an ST, family ST packages giving people a chance to sit together and points based priority for new ST holders based on a prior pre defined purchase history. All of these will grow attendances. It will upset some fans though, as they are "I went to Wembley" one off event merchants who will want to be at the first match with little or no intention to return until the next event.

It'll be about 45k initially with the top tier covered and ready to open when needed.

Fair bit has changed in the past 15 years or whatever it's been. Football tourism is a massive thing now and it's far harder to get tickets for clubs like Man United and Liverpool than it used to be.

It might not be 60k Blues fans. But we'll sell 60k seats no problem.

By going from 28k to 40k and not using the top tier id imagine

Football tourism is massive, especially in the Prem
