We didn't sell out every game last time we were in the Prem
Football is massively different to what it was 20 years ago.

We’d sell out no bother.

And if we didn’t it wouldn’t matter

If the design is that detailed, it’s not as wild an ambition as is often claimed.

The stadium is very viable, it’s the infrastructure that could be harder.

To be fair they haven’t really announced a date. We’re only hearing dates today from a conference which hasn't been documented on club socials or website and when it’s been spoken about before Wagner has been adding caveats when he’s mentioned dates saying he’s being super optimistic.

I think it’s possible if West Ham can do it then I’m sure we can but pricing will have to be very good on both season tickets and match day prices at first until we build the demand to increase prices

I'd guess being up to full capacity probably rests heavily on getting the trams going past?

2030/ 31 seems a reasonable ambition, based on other clubs' builds - in theory we have a pretty straightforward site. No filling in docks or legal battles to knock down listed buildings. I'll keep my fingers crossed nothing does go wrong!

The trams haven’t exactly been quick builds thus far have they.

The ring road is also gong to be massively overloaded.

A move of Adderley Park Station you’d think would take a while.

I think you make a good point.

I genuinely think if they want trams up there for when it opens then the plans for the track that far should be pushed through as quickly as possible so they can get on with it. The section between Clayton Hotel and Meriden Street can't be started for a while so it makes sense to use the intervening time to do the bit further up.

Everything is at least aligned on it Central Government, combined authority and council all want it, and all the same party. Hopefully it makes a difference so we're not scaling up capacity over years.

Might help if there is enough other stuff on site to stagger the crowd departure.

Thanks for that. I'll have a read after work. Greater Manchester has set up one for the Old Trafford scheme. I belive they have to be given parliamentary approval.

To be fair 2031 is probably the timelines without any delays but you'll never know what delays you'll encounter until the work and process starts

We'd have HST open by now if they did away with the archaeological digs. Let's hope there's no roman fort or burial ground etc. beneath the 135 acres.

At a quick glance, it doesn't look like it. It would need the relevant Secretary of State to approve it though.

Approve, the creation of a Mayoral Development Corporation, its Board and Executive
team subject to:
a. The preparation and approval of a strategic business case;
b. The outcome of statutory consultation on the boundary, powers and identity of the
MDC, and;
c. The approval by the Secretary of State to an Establishment Order creating the MDC.

True, its powers will already be defined by Parliament so just needs approval by the Sec of State. That makes sense
