Rab C NesbittI was hoping for bigger than 60k.
And yes I realise how greedy that sounds, but I was
I know what you mean though if it is 62k as planned to see a 60k at a Blues home attendance in my lifetime will be incredible.
I am sure the stadium will be built with an extension possible if required?
Would imagine they’ll have plans to be able to expand if they need to. Would be pretty standard nowadays to build that into the plans
El MayorCharcyThe trams haven’t exactly been quick builds thus far have they.
The ring road is also gong to be massively overloaded.
A move of Adderley Park Station you’d think would take a while.
I think you make a good point.
I genuinely think if they want trams up there for when it opens then the plans for the track that far should be pushed through as quickly as possible so they can get on with it. The section between Clayton Hotel and Meriden Street can't be started for a while so it makes sense to use the intervening time to do the bit further up.
Dan, from what I have read online, work between the hotel and Meriden Street won't have to wait too long.

They’re started on Meriden Street now I think but the work crossing HS2 will be a while yet I’m sure

They mentioned on Central News that it will be around 10 years before any trains start running through those tunnels
10 years! Wagner is not going to be happy with that

That's simply not true. For a start there will be a commissioning and operational testing period of nearly two years across the whole network during which trains will run through those tunnels. Are you really suggesting they aren't going to start that until 2035 ?

Well it's all speculation at the moment, and currently there's an ongoing review, but the Government themselves are suggesting it won't open by the original proposed date of 2033, so who knows?

WMCA are holding a meeting on Friday to approve the creation of a Mayoral Development Corporation, which will include the Sports Quarter.
Another step in the right direction, and an interesting read for those into public sector reports:
