People making all sorts of comments and judgements about people they don’t know because they seem to think they have some kind of ownership or relationship when in fact they don’t.

Your folks were ahead of their time naming you.
Although I agree that’s true, I actually do think that obsessing about the manager and what he says, the performance of players, or what goes on at the club etc is qualitatively different from say commenting about the stats of a marriage like the one on this discussion, or making some judgement about whether a party’s behaviour is ‘classy’ or not. For me it’s just all over intrusive, icky, and as FB said, none of the commenters business anyway.
Not that I could quite gauge what or who you were exactly aiming at but that’s also the internet.
I know a bit about the old man and not a fan, but it is genuinely really sad for any family when there’s a split.
They’ll probably all make a new way and good luck to them.
I agree that there appears to be a significant difference between the performance of footballers and the behaviour of individuals in their personal lives.
However, much of the criticism of players and coaches soon descends into the personal and that is where my views on internet warriors came from.
