Wondering where everyone would play Poku? Gray and Roberts are better than him (and actually wanted to come here to play).
TandyIt doesn't exactly stack up with the outspend everyone mantra.
What mantra?
The board have never come out and said "we will outspend everyone".
They speak about revenues but that =/= transfer spending to the extent we can blow the division away.
They said we'd outspend everyone but the parachute teams. QPR aren't a parachute team. I'm not having a dig, and I know there's other factors, but saying we couldn't afford Pokus wages doesn't stack up IMO.
No they didn’t, they said they’d have a higher revenue ie than everybody but the parachute teams.
That’s not the same thing.

It's just too much for some people to comprehend, ain't it.

Do you know for a fact we have not? Do you know we have not spent more than QPR in particular? Factor in wages and signing on fees and we will most likely be up there with biggest spenders, however these aspects are not made public so it is a pointless debate really. Nobody said we could not afford Poku, might be just we thought the money would be better spent elsewhere.
Definitely agree it also doesn’t help Kyogo hasn’t had an extended run in the team to really find his rhythm but no excuses he should have scored a few at least.
But my point was if we had risked unproven players and they hadn’t scored the same people would now be saying why didn’t we go for experienced players who on paper would seem to be more likely to succeed.
To be fair Poku has only played 1 game so far and missed a decent chunk of last season with injury. Kone only has 1 more goal than Stansfield so it's a bit early for us to looking back on should we or shouldn't we have signed these players. QPR are only 3 points ahead of us as well which makes it a bit more stranger we're talking about this so early on it's not as if they're running away with the league or even looked that impressive considering they lost 7-1 to Coventry not that long ago
I think it is for some on here. If you are going to come here and paraphrase, at least be accurate.
But then again why let facts and what was actually said get in the way.
I'll be interested to see where us and QPR end up come May.
Why do they want a high revenue do you think?
To be able to spend more money than other teams.
Nikola ZigicPut simply yes. More revenue equals the Oporto spend more than others and stay within PSR parameters. More spend on the team if spent well, should equal a better team on the pitch. A better team on the pitch means a greater chance of winning more games than others. History tells us that’s often the caseWhy do they want a high revenue do you think?

Yes but that isn't the same as us being able to outspend for every player we want every summer.

Also - just because you can doesn’t mean you should. Surely this is a lesson we’ve learned the hard way
8 goals in 9 games.
What in gods name makes people think this team will click and start scoring goals.
We couldnt make any profit on not one player and I repeat not one player who we have signed in the last 3 windows.
I wouldn't trust Gardner & Southgate with another transfer window as were just going to be left with seven dwarfs in midfield and a forward line that cant score, all whilst earning decent dollar.
Were stuck with these crap signings.

I think Kone will score more than any of our players this season, but we will still finish above QPR.
But it would’ve been by a greater distance if we’d signed Kone.

On the flip side, I don't think I've ever seen you post anything positive ever

Dimmy was supposedly free with a hefty sell on clause. Iwata was under a million if you believe the internet. Bright was a freebie after his contract expired. You don't think we'd get more than a a million for the 3 of them?
Paik was also free transfer although admittedly the window before.
We've spent big on forwards, and also dropped money on Klarer and Willumsson, but we've also got some top players for peanuts
