Is that the fanzone near the George?
I'm guessing it runs the risk of people coming in without a ticket from outside so they've put a stop to it
There will be a solution though I'm sure, raise it with the club, maybe via the email feedback thing we get after each game, they'll probably sort it.
There was lots of faffing about by that disabled entrance before the game as well as half time
Instead of ten stewards stopping people going to the fan zone,
One could advise people that you need to show your season ticket to get back in which would be no problem at all.
Showing your match ticket to get in would be incredibly simple?
Especially instead of stopping people from using the purpose built fan zone.
Iya Tom,
I’ve got an idea that will increase our revenues.
Create some kind of weekly or monthly BCFC lottery/raffle.
The club would technically lose money on it, but if it gives us a few million extra revenue then it is purely there to help us spend more.
If blues fans could put some money into a lottery knowing that they could win cash or prizes, and that it helped us spend, why not?
Oh wow - this is the best idea since i decided to collect 50 pence pieces and file all the corners off so i could pass them off as 10 pences.
One way to raise revenue without much cost would be to use part of the wheels site as a car park, would only need to tarmac part of it, would stop the complaints re car stripping, also get practice for the new stadium re traffic management.

They planned to do this and mentioned it at the first Open House in 2024, but they’ve obviously ran into issues, probably planning/access related or something. Maybe they can pick it back up
Site was used back in 2019 as matchday parking for £5 so surely it can put back into use quickly
It was used for this years before 2019 too. Was a great easy escape onto Adderley Road and onto the Spine Road if you needed to get north of the City.
Looking at recent google map images some signs of soil extraction work, could be an issue from silica dust being released with the site being former brick works, although I can't see it being an issue if soil extraction isn't taking place at the same time as people parking.
It would be much more lucrative to work with our betting partner at Coral and create a matchday build-a-bet lottery.
Liam of BrumAll season you have been able to leave the Tilton through the disabled entrance at half time and get drinks at the fan Zone.
This week there were a group of ten stewards barricading the exit and saying you had to have a wrist band now to go to the fan zone at half time.
Whos daft revenue reducing idea was this?
The result was no one I was with managed to get a beer at half time.
Sir Tom Wagner would be going ballistic at this stupidity.
Additionally can any publicans advise, how hard is it to change a beer barrel?
The Cruzcampo barrel had to be changed in the Changing Room bar 30 minutes prior to KO
This is peak time, can an alarm be fitted to a barrel to notify staff when its running out?
You would think that would be simple? No?
The staff said they only know when its run out when the tap stops pouring but there has to be a better way?
Want to raise revenue? Allow people access to bars and keep the beer flowing.
KRO
Unless things have changed since the last time i worked in a pub, they are quite correct.
Kegs are sealed units that you connect up to and you keep pouring until it stops. There are no gauges, or advanced warnings, or never used to be.
Casks can be dipped, but that's traditional beer. Lagers/Ciders come in kegs.
That being said, I could swap a keg in 30secs... the time incurred is usually (in a pub) getting down into the cellar, and back.
Someone has suggested that bar staff can tell when the Keg is running out by the weight of it?
Placing the keg on a scale that sets an alarm/ notification off when it is running out should be easy to invent and the further training of staff as it took them near ten minutes to change it.

I’ve got an easier suggestion, based on them pre pouring.
If you’re pre pouring pints, you can keep count of how many you have poured. If you know there is a certain amount in a keg - then you know roughly when you’re getting close to needing to change it.
I accept it might not be that simple but that was my thought.

What a very good idea, I get Mayor’s idea too but that would need someone keeping a physical tally and let’s be honest that just ain’t gonna be consistent.
