newblueRagsThe Davies haters look like the fools they are.
and who are they ? .. where are they ? where were they ?
Go back to Facebook or Twitter with the other children - that's where they were
There were quite a few saying he had 2 more games and such things. There were plenty of threads of that ilk. Someone said on one thread 4 games ago that he couldn’t see how we’d get more than a point from the following 6 games. There was a lot of dissatisfaction, and it wasn’t actually very good. No coincidence to me that we’ve kept the same side for 2 games and we’ve seen Ducksch at last.
As I say I was very anti Davies and his tactics and I thought his stubbornness would stop him changing, glad I’ve been proven wrong on that.
But there was also plenty saying we had a lower mid table team at best and our recruitment was shocking and that was the problem? Both have been proven wrong the last couple games.
Now if the people being called out here by B47 really wanted to get into it, we could moan that Davies has wasted 12 games of the season by playing the wrong system and we would be better off he hasn’t. But guess what we won’t, because we’re enjoying the change, we’re enjoying the last couple of games and we don’t need to play ‘keep score’ against people like B47 that can’t even realise that the people who’s trying to vilify were correct.
To B47 and Newblue on behalf of people that have criticised and didn’t accept below par performances. This is what we wanted. Hope you’re enjoying it.
Stop talking sense all over the place
I think there were more people suggesting that if he didn't turn around a lengthening poor run of results and more importantly poor performances the owners might get itchy.
The change in the last few games gives him a lot of credit i think.
Haircut1000#vicarofdibleyNo, no, no, no, no, no, yes.
Of course as much as Davies taking the brakes off, it could just be that the players are settling in and getting used to the system and building playing relationships.
We had the same last season around this time, think we were 4th and all going 'how are we going to catch Wrexham and Wycombe?' then it clicked.
Lots of new players again this season. Not suggesting for a minute that'll happen again btw, I'm just chuffed that the signs are looking so good
Eff recriminations, just enjoy.
LeithbluesI'm not a fan of these threads. Let's just enjoy the win and the best week we've had all year
But let's not rewrite history - there were plenty of people questioning Davies and his tactics. There were even a few threads questioning his job.
Even if not the majority, there were enough posts to irk a few people clearly
More than a few I would say. Fickle fans are a bore. I especially love those now practically trying to claim credit for an apparent change in CD's approach!
Respectfully, you're literally on here slagging someone off too. You're allowed to be irritated at what he's posted, but he's also allowed to be irritated by what others have posted.
I won't post again on this thread, as I don't like that this thread exists and I don't want to contribute to it any further
Calm down, don’t know either of you but we’re all Blues no need to be calling someone a prick.
I get B47s sentiment because it’s been pretty toxic on here for the last 2 months regarding Davies, Gardner etc. I can’t be bothered to trawl the site for specific examples but it puts me off posting.
I left the other forum because it was being dominated by conspiracy theorists ruining threads. Get your own observation about the mainstream social media but at times it’s been just as bad.
I’m just happy we’ve won 4-0 back to back.
Haircut1000No, no, no, no, no, no, yes.
Top man

From the bloke who, with what I assume was a straight face, posted diagrams and lengthy missives explaining what Davies was doing wrong and how he should immediately abandon his tactics and formation and start using the ones from the internet expert, I’ll take that with a hearty chuckle

So just how sad do you have to be, when we win 4-0 for the second time in 4 days to not feel chuffed, not enjoy it and your first thought is to slag someone off ?
It's no wonder i hardly ever post on here except on matchdays any more .. the place is fecked, the posters are morons, and the intelligence of posters has fallen to an all time low
🙄

He does deserve credit. Some were saying the owners wouldn’t tolerate it, others were wanting him out. I said with others that it was still early in the season. I think it was fair to be concerned about whether CD could get some pace and vim into the team, great to see the last two games, it’s been an eye opener. Charcy is also right to say it doesn’t mean all is tickets-boo, it’s still a tough division.

and he has done ... have you not noticed the inverted right back we now utilise ? rather than overlapping and crowding ourselves out ? .and leaving a big empty hole in midfield
or the lower sitting midfield role that Doyle is playing which then closes the space down when our attacks break down ? - therefore meaning the centre-halves can roll it to Doyle giving us another option rather than spending too much time merely spreading it across the back 4 ?
how we aren't playing Stansfield alone and isolated but have pulled him back towards a more attack minded midfield ?
as i kept saying - he was obsessed with not making mistakes, racking up the possession %s and refusing to take risks - slowing the tempo and waiting for opponents to make mistakes--- as soon as we have stopped that we are creating chance after chance after chance
No you wouldn't because you only ever criticise and never offer anything positive
Tbf he was helped massively by Robinson being suspended and forced to play Neumann. We look rock solid at the back now
