HariboIcm20236 new signings in the starting 11 the past two games and it’s the best we have looked.
I was critical of CD not so long ago, but I just wanted him to have faith in the new players.
Obvs he's sees them more in training, but I'm so glad that Doyle, Roberts, Neumann, and now Duksch are getting their chance.
I don't know why people think he didn't have faith in them.
Neumann aside, where it was more about wanting a left footed CB before accepting he'd have to play two right footers.
Doyle, Roberts and Ducksch have all seem to have been integrated into the team while managing their fitness.
Especially on here.
Bunch of fickle bastards

Credit is on Chris Davies. And deservedly so. We still lack things in the squad we should have.
Up the Davies right now. Roll on Saturday

Roberts went pretty much straight in didn't he? And Ducksch was injured.

Doyle was due to start the first game as well, until he got ill.

Dowell did too. But many didn’t. Our captain started on the bench in League 1.
The key for me is Doyle playing where he is. I said years ago that we needed a player with the same skillset as Bannan in the middle of the park, who has the skill required to keep possession and to spray passes around. A focal point who wants the ball whenever any player needs an outlet. He's the one who has stopped us from playing a U-shape going-nowhere passing game because he can ride a challenge with skill then play a forward pass that cuts through the opposition and creates an attacking opportunity. If you watch him throughout a game he's playing loads of sublime touches and little dinks which stop us from losing possession and buy him some time to get his head up and set up forward passes. We need to buy him in January.

So when we were having a few bad results, I must have totally imagined people moaning that Doyle couldn't get a start, that Neumann had seemingly been banished from the starting lineup, that Roberts started and played well, then was dropped for Koumas the next game... my mistake, I apologise.
It seems that I'm more than willing to admit that I may have been hasty in my criticism of CD, and that he is, in fact, learning.
However, you will still try and convince yourself that it was all part of his grand master plan...but whatever floats your boat. We're now, finally, looking like a decent side, so whatever the reasons, long may it continue.
Yeah it's starting to click, all of them looked like they've been at the club for a couple of years. Just need the new signings from the bench to get involved which I am sure they will.
bluedanIt baffles me how Neumann was so far away from the team a few games ago.
I think he was taking time to adjust.

No change from me, we've still left ourselves short in a couple of areas that I think were a real failure to address.
However, great to see that on the playing side Davies has managed to find a way to reinvigorate the team. He's a good manager, the calls for him to go were bonkers.

This
It's been done to death hasn't it? Think everyone knows it wasn't the perfect transfer window, of course what everyone doesn't know is why it wasn't?
It's the constant blame game that does my head in a bit. Some have just decided that CG should go, without really being able to say why, as Mayor and others have said, there could be all kinds of reasons it wasn't perfect.
Where I'm standing ATM though, it doesn't look too bad.
If we play brilliantly, it's down to CD, if we are shite, it's because CG hasn't done his job and needs to go. That's also bonkers to me.
Agreed. Some extreme thinking going on.
